He is a bootlegger.

He was a spy.

He killed a man.

The "nephew or cousin of Kaiser Wilhelm"(Ruler of Germany during World War I).

Truth about Gatsby:

His real name was Jay Gatz.

His parents were unsuccessful farmers.

He was an assistant to Dan Cody.

He met Daisy during the war.

Daisy left Gatsby, and married Tom.

Gatsby is still in love with Daisy.
