Welcome to Elf Wood, the home of the Elves. There were many races of Elves created by J.R.R. Tolkien in his works The Hobbit The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings. Although I try to have a bit of information on each race of Elf, this site deals mainly with the Grey Elves, or Sindar. (hence the silver and green leafy theme.) These were the Elves who did not stay as long in the far West of Valinor, but instead came into Middle Earth earlier. Although they did not forsake the journey entirely, as the Mirkwood Elves did, they did become as radiant as the High Elves. However, there is much High Elf blood among the sindar, such as the Queen Galadriel.
The site is new, and I am trying to get it up and running as rapidly as i can. Please excuse the tiny amount of functioning links on the page, as I am trying to complete each section as I go, rather than have the whole site a little bit operational. Instead, I hope to have a small section fully functional, then move on.
