Flat Rock
Flat Rock is located about 20 minutes North East of St. John's. To access get on Torbay Road and continue through Torbay, about 5 - 10 minutes later you will see a lake on your left and on your right a sign for Wind Gap Road, continue along this road and you will head down a hill in to the town of Flat Rock. Park your vechile on the public wharf and continue up the hill towards the green trailer. Behind the trailer is the "Backyard Boulders". When accessing these boulders please walk past the trailer and walk up the trail by the fence. These boulders are the cluster in the top left corner. They consist of 4 boulders, a boulder that is head height and stands on its own, a high boulder that is in the back of the cluster of 3, the triangle boulder in the middle and the front promenant boulder. If you continue out the beamer you will see a small boulder sticking out of the trees, it is sandstone color, this is an "Unnamed Boulder" but has a cool problem on it. As you continue on you will come to the "Two Boulders". From the "Two Boulders" you can continue east towards the water and come to a small wall that is called the "Crab House area". It must be noted that on these boulders there are many variations so I have only listed the classic lines. Check out the links at the bottom of the page.
