Maurice De Ernsted

Friend Claude Pelletier, Certified Master Genealogist, has sent us some photos of Maurice de Ernsted, with whom he worked on the making of a number of films.

If I remember correctly, it was in July of 1955. The late Maurice de Ernsted had his baptism of fire during a trip across the Canadian West for the filming of the series "Sur le vif" and "On the Spot". In addition to Maurice, or "Mo", the crew included Bernie Devlin, Gilles Laroche, Roger Moride, and me on sound. On the English Production side, Rollo Gamble. Filming was with an Auricon camera and the sound recorded optically, directly on 16mm. Those were the good old days...
