1983

The Neurofibromatois Association of Arizona was established in 1983 by small group of people with big hearts and a common goal, and has since been supporting individuals and their families that are affected by NF.

Thanks to the efforts of these fine pioneers, those affected by NF now had somewhere to turn for more information, a little direction and of course the support that they need.

The efforts of this group is also credited for where we are today. Thanks to our founding mothers and fathers, reseach and education is abounded far beyond what it was just under two decades ago.

The camp was a huge success and a second followed in the Summer of 2000.

While taking a break from camp planning, NFAZ sponsered several teens to go to the 2001 International Camp in Norway.
