You have been programming for too long

Some people have been on the computer too long. Here is an actual
e-mail message that I sent to everyone. The original message under
the Forward Header was sent to IS for a PC problem and I was copied
in to keep the record. I sure did.

     Here is a good cnadidate for Nerd Baton. Mahendra claims that it was
     easier for him to write it in code than to explain it to Danny in
     words.

     Anybody there to second it.....

     Danny,

     I have the following two problems for a while.

     switch(PC problems)
     {
        case 1: /* PC hangs */
        {
           In the evening

           if (turn off the power == TRUE)
           {
              No problem
           }
           else /* (turn of the power == FALSE) */
           {
              1. next day morning the PC system clock shows some time in
                 the previous night

              before doing anything further in the morning....
              if (reboot the machine == TRUE)
              {
                 do
                 {
                    reboot
                 }while (!see Pern)
              }
              else
              {
                 1. the system crashes
                 2. need to press reset button (most of the time)
                 3. while reboot time get the complaint about not shutting
                    down the Windows'95 properly, Scan disk,.. blah,blah,..
                 4. forced to reboot again

                 do
                 {
                    reboot
                 }while (!see Pern)

              }
           }
        }

        case 2: /* PC doesn't see Pern (H:) while booting */
        {

           /*
              While booting, most of the time, there is problem in
              connecting to Pern. However after multiple tries (boot)
              2,3,4,5,..... finally I could succeed.
            */
              do
              {
                 reboot
              }while (!see Pern)

        }
     }
