October 2004 - Labradorite

Above we have flecks of Labradorite.

Healing Properties:

Labradorite detoxifies the body and assists in anti-aging.

Magical Properties:

Labradorite enhances positive attitudes and clears the mind of negativity.

Colour:  Most commonly silver gray, blue gray, to brownish grey matrix with iridescence (schiller) of orange, yellow, blue, and green when the stone is moved in the light the Spectrolite background (matrix) is black.

Crystallization: Single crystals are rare, tabular, prismatic, generally lamellar twinned. Aggregates are compact granular. Labradorite occurs mainly in igneous and metamorphic rocks.
