April 2004 - Lapis Lazuli
Lapis Lazuli has a similar appearance to Sodalite, but is distinguishable by its gold-coloured pyrite flecks.
Healing Properties:
Lapis Lazuli helps soothe psychic headaches when there is an excess of energy in the third eye, but is not good for people with low blood pressure. It helps stave off depression, strengthen the vocal cords and aids in the stabilization the thyroid gland.
Magical Properties:
Lapis Lazuli helps to focus energy in the third eye, accentuating psychic powers. It also symbolizes inspiration and wisdom.
Colour: Blue with white inclusions and gold-coloured pyrite flecks.
Hardness: 5 to 6
Crystallization:
Rarely forms individual crystals; the pyrite inclusions form cubic crystals
