The first contact with the Indians' Culture was by means of the book
"Mythes, Contes et Lgendes des Indiens" - Paris, Amateurs, 1930- written in French by the brazilian writer Gustavo Barroso, Chevalier de la Lgion d'Honneur and member of the Brazilian Writer's Academy and Member of London Royal Literature Society. Through this book he felt that the Indians deserved more respect and care with their culture.. That was only the startpoint. He paints and gives talks about this culture that has been modified everyday by the white man. Valnei speaks English, French and German ( besides Portuguese ).
