The CEO Makes A Legacy...
[ The scene opens up and we are greeted with a lavish office, the owner of which is unknown. A large desk with papers neatly scattered over its surface dawns the center of the shot, behind which we see the back of a large leather chair. The chair slowly begins to turn around and sitting in it we see a slender, youthful man. He�s got a spiked hair and a full dark beard, accompanied by an expensive looking suite. The man sits confidently as he finishes his half turn and is now facing the camera. ]
Man: I suppose you�re all wondering who I am.
[ The man pauses for a moment, letting the rhetorical question sink in before he answers it. ]
Man: I am the driving force behind this entire evening. I am the reason, everyone who�s here tonight, is here! My name is Marcus Anderson, and I am the Next Level Revolution�s new, Chief Executive Officer!
[ There is a significant amount of buzz among the people in the crowd, unsure of what to make of the situation. Ed Johnson seemed to be in firm control over the NLR and now it seems as though he is answering to the man that sits before us now.
Marcus Anderson: It is with great pleasure that I bring to all of you the new and improved NLR! No longer will it struggle to succeed as it did in the suffocating grasp with which Mr. Heart held it. No more are the days of disorganization! Scotty Heart turned his back on this organization and has since disappeared off the radar � like a coward!
He left this place in shambles, leaving it�s piece for dead. Luckily, the cleverness of Ed Johnson, managed to save all of this from certain doom. You see, knowing that Scotty had a bad habit of being very negligent when it came to financial situations in the NLR, Ed saw this as his window of opportunity. In a dastardly move, Ed snuck a legally binding contract, which gave full ownership of the NLR to me, in with a stack of meaningless pyro receipts without Scotty Heart ever even noticing. The contract stated that in the event of corporate inactivity lasting more than 3 business days, thus deeming the business dead; 100% control and ownership of the NLR would be given to me.
Thus explains why I am sitting before all of you here today!
Enough of the pointless banter, time is money and my time is very expensive. It has been brought to my attention that in a rather presumptuous move, my newly appointed General Manager of the NLR made a, less than logical business move. It seems that he jumped the gun a little when he decided to make the Bauer and Douglas match for the Four Towers Championship, failing to realize that Gutter Rat and Leandro were scheduled to fight for that very same championship.
Given the condition of Bauer, we can�t very well put him into another match this evening. Also given the magnitude of this �Convict Match� and the hype put into it being a championship bout, it simply cannot take place without a championship being on the line!
[ Anderson then smiles to the camera before pulling out a large leather case. He sets it down on the desk in front of him and then opens it. The content is hidden from view but quickly revealed as Marcus Anderson removes the National Championship from inside the case, staring at it in revulsion. ]
Marcus Anderson: This belt personifies, to me, everything that Scotty Heart failed to do right. And seeing as I�m the boss around here, I will not let a monument of failure be carried around as the representing symbol of something I own!
[ Anderson looks at the belt once more, this time looking furious. He then moves the title over the garbage can beside his desk and gladly lets it fall inside. Anderson then looks proud at what he just did for a moment, before turning back to the case in front of him. A look of joy over takes his face this time around, as he pulls out another glorious championship belt. The strap is a spotless white and the gold plaques on it shine incessantly ]
Marcus Anderson: This ladies and gentlemen, is the new face of the NLR. It symbolizes the mark we will leave, it symbolizes the waves we will create and it symbolizes the legacy we will leave in the world of wrestling. This is the Next Level Revolution�s more prestigious title, the Legacy Championship! And this belt is going to be on the line in the next match. Gutter Rat versus Leandro, for the new Legacy Championship! Enjoy!
[ Anderson closes the case and places the gorgeous belt on top of it. We zoom out of his office and the scene fades to black. ]
