Johnson Makes Things A Little More Interesting
[ The scene opens up back in Johnsons' makeshift office. A second TV has been rolled in, and now not only is he watching the PPV as it unfolds, but the replay of Lee Watson getting manhandled by Fear. Realizing that the devils eyes are upon him, he pauses the tape, and turns once again, to the camera]
"Big" Ed Johnson: See, that's what the NLR was missing from the get-go. Guys like Watson are a plauge on this business. Lee Watson, and guys like him ARE not, and WILL not be allowed into MY federation as long as I'm still breathing.
[ He is handed another cup of Starbucks from one of the crew, and walks over to the monitor, and inserts another tape. The image is the upcoming match between Steven Douglas, and Kyle Bauer. He shakes his head, but continues. ]
"Big" Ed Johnson: One person who has NOT been a plauge for my company has been this man, Kyle Bauer. Now I've been here for awhile and watched this kid grow into a star. Not a Superstar mind you. But a star nonetheless. Kyle Bauer has proven himself to be everything I want the NLR to be. Successful, talented, and above all else, loyal...
[ Anyone who is anyone knows, Kyle Bauer had a deal going with WEW that was going to give him millions, and he walked away. Others, like FORMER NLR guy Jack Harley, would not be as loyal. ]
"Big" Ed Johnson: Now Kyle, in appreciation for your efforts here, I have made a decision. An Executive Decision. The match with Steven Douglas is the biggest of your short career. The Enervator is tough, he's mean, he's nasty, he's quick and he's smart. The one thing that Steven Douglas is NOT, is loyal.
Steven Douglas is just another lump of the cancer that has been plauging this company since it reopened, and tonight I want it SCRAPED from the bowels of the NLR for good. Now why you, Kyle, it's simple, I believe in you. I believe in your ability, I believe in your methods.. I believe in your Heart..
I believe my coffee is empty..
[ The arena groans at the last line, as Johnsons cups are switched. ]
"Big" Ed Johnson: As incentive to keep up the good work Kyle, I've "wrestled" around with the NLR legal department, to bring this to the table, and I hope you can pull it off.
Tonights match, Steven Douglas Vs. Kyle Bauer. For the 4-Towers Championship!!
[ The fans all gasp, as that is the very same belt that Gutter Rat and Leandro SHOULD be fighting for later in the evening.. And Johnson knows that, but hates Leandro so badly that it makes it all the sweeter. He smirks for the camera, then a thought overtakes him, and he closes in on the camera with a very serious look on his face. ]
"Big" Ed Johnson: Oh, and Now Bauer, I forgot to mention. If you fail me, and Douglas does win that title.
You might as well re-sign that WEW contract, 'cause otherwise you'll be unemployed..
[ Johnson flops back down into his chair, laughing, and rewinds the Fear beating the hell out of Watson video as we head back to our announcers, and the scene fades to black. ]
