Career & Personal History
Panther whose real name is Jason Black grew up in Vancouver under the care of Vincent and Jessica Black. At a young age Jason was very gifted in speed and endurance. At the age of 10 he joined the gymnastics team and the swimming team. At age 14 he won a gold medal in the annual juror gymnastics tournament. Later he went on to win a gold medal in speed swimming. At age 16 Jason tried his hand at wrestling but he found he didn�t fit in with the technical aspect. He soon discovered Lucha-Libre wrestling. He started training and worked some independent matches in Canada, Mexico, and a couple in the states. Panther even worked for the Mexican Wrestling Association.
At age 20 he soon had his big break in the United States by joining the DWF. He won his debut match and worked his way through their ranks. When Deon Isis Formed the SWA Panther was one of the wrestlers that signed over. His highlights include the first ever rookie rumble, the PPV Title Tournament, joining SIX, the famous SWA war, with PRIDE/SIX Vs JUSTICE. A scaffold match versus long time friend Logan Bradley at Holiday Havoc, and winning his first ever title belt The SWA Tag Team Titles with Nocturnal.
When BBJ closed down the SWA, Panther was not sure what to do so he spent the time with friends and family. When he found out that the DWF had opened again, he thought of no better place then to start his career again. So he joined, and ran wild in the fed that started his career those many years ago, after several mouths however the DWF closed its doors. Panther followed a tip from his best friend and stable mate Nocturnal and joined W3 where he had a nice stint. Panther however suffered a torn calf muscle at a W3 PPV, which was further injured, and he had to leave the company. Panther has since now recovered from his injuries and is a free agent.
