McCoy has served in for 18 years, and is highly decorated. He has won two Bronze Stars, One Silver Star, and the Navy Cross, the second-highest medal that can be awarded to a soldier (the highest being the Medal of Honor). He has also been awarded the Purple Heart four times. He has fought in Special Forces operations on every continent except Antarctica, and is unparallelled in Urban Warfare, Night Operations and Infiltration. He has extensive contacts in the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) and the National Security Agency (NSA). He has very high security clearance as well. His highest command was that of CENTCOM�s Special Forces in Operation Iraqi Freedom, which he did for 15 months.

David McCoy was wounded severely in Afghanistan...when he won the Navy Cross, he was defusing an unexploded Afghani bomb. He saved 60 lives, but the detonator exploded in his hands, destroying his fingers and injuring his leg, giving him a bit of a limp. McCoy has three fingers on his right hand, and two on his left. He has no thumbs.

Personally, he has two children from a previous marriage (Marcie McCoy, now deceased), but they are estranged due to a past battle McCoy waged against Virtual Reality, a powerful stable in the Crossman Wrestling Alliance. He was secretly married to Shauna Soprano, but as a result of her responsibilities to her family, and the tragic death of Captain John 'Tiberius' Cross (USN) at end of McCoy's bitter feud with the Femme Fatales, the marriage fell apart. After the armed battle and successful rescue of Helena Kreuz from Nick Corleone, he came to know Jada Kaine, and they fell deeply in love after becoming good friends. They became engaged in February 2005, and became married on 5-13-2005. Jada, known as Sinnocence, fled after an assassination attempt against the W3�s Deandre Carter failed, and Helena was shot. Jada was ordered to leave by the leader of KYI, and lived underground until recently, when discovered by a Brigade officer.

McCoy is a paladin, a 'lawful good' character, if you will. He is a patriot, and a soldier. He will act against his closest friend if that friend is doing wrong, but he will fight to protect anyone that is being wronged, even if the person being wronged is an enemy. He judges people for their actions, and not by what he has heard about them, and is very observant. His training in PsyOps helps him judge people better than the average person, but he isn't perfect, and he is forgiving. Above all else, he is a protector, a saver of those on the edge. He may respect his enemies, but he will fight them with all he has. He is exceedingly honest, brave, and loyal.

McCoy is, where wresting is concerned, not the most flashy of workers. He usually wins because of mistakes made by the other worker, or because of his refusal to submit, concede, or back off. He isn't going to out-wrestle the top-tier workers, but he won't submit or quit. However, away from the ring, he is deadly. His military skills are sharp, and he cannot be attacked away from the ring with any real chance of success unless totally surprised (unlikely) or ganged up on. HE WILL NOT USE HIS SEAL COMBAT TRAINING IN THE RING, UNLESS IT IS A NO-HOLDS-BARRED MATCH.

In the past, McCoy feuded with Virtual Reality, Brian Cage and D-Money (Pride), Nocturnal and SIX, and the stable of BBJ/Deathstroke (Genocide). He managed to stand all of them off, the latter two as a member of the DWF stable Justice. Recently, he feuded with Helena Kruez and Jada Kaine in the DWF, but the death of his best friend, Captain John "Tiberius" Cross, brought that to an end. There is a deep respect between Helena, Jada, Deathstroke, and McCoy, even though they may not like each other at times. McCoy sees good in all of them, and feels paternal responsibility sometimes, because he is 10-15 years older than any of them.

McCoy held the CWA Lightweight and Hardcore titles, and recently won the W3 Franchise Title, holding it for a month before losing it to Tricky D.
