The pacific war was the was the biggest naval war of all time between the US and Japan it was a amplifies war that mostly involved the US marines the amplifies masters, the army was a little bit involved the US army but they were on defensive, and the US navy. The British fought a little the Philippines and other citizen of other Islands fought a lot in the war the Chinese fought a little but they mostly got bombed or conquered. Guerrilla warfare played a bigger part in the war then people think between communist gorillas and people who just wanted independences. There was a lot of fighting. Finally it ended when America dropped two atomic bombs and plugged the world into nuclear age.
