I am writing in the hope that you can help me,
For the past 6 years I have been harrassed and hounded by
Income Support untill I am now almost at breaking point.
They alledge that I owe money for:
Over payment when I went to Australia 20something years
ago.. They can produce no evidence of any overpayment but still insist that I
must pay. In acual fact payments were stopped 2 weeks before I left NZ.
They say that I was living with someone while receiving
sickness benefit. This matter has been before the court. The other person was
found by the court not to be living with me yet somehow they insist that I was
living with them!
They paid me after I went to prison 3 years ago despite
being aware where I was. Their continued harrasment drove me to a violent act
which led to my imprisonment. The bank took everything that went into my
account anyway, then when there was nothing left they took my house!.
Now they tell me I owe child support from 20 years ago! I am
contesting this in court and have obtained legal aid. (I don’t have children, I
don’t even like women. I was never
informed of any order at the time and was never given the chance to appear in court
when the order was made.
Further to this Inland Revenue are doing the same thing
based on the same court case 20 years ago.
Theres is now about $70 being deducted from my already
barely adequate invalid pension This
leaves me less than I am paying for board. I am so stressed out that I
have just fallen down some stairs and injured my neck. On Friday I fell in
front of a car. I am in pain at the moment but can not afford to visit my
doctor or even pay for my ongoingmedication. I need urgent dental work and have
chronic toothache but the call centre said I owe too much to get an advance for
dental work.
I see nothing left but to either end my life now or do something violent to the people causing
all this. At least I wont be harrased if I go back to prison. I am on this
invalid pension partly due to brain damage caused by chemotherapy and a
motorcycle accident and am supposed to be avoiding stress. The benificiarys
union have said they will look into it, the city mission checked for me when I
went to gett a food parcel but no one (including the call center) can make any
sense of this. Please help me
