Sonora Keith

Name: *tosses back a mane of medium brown hair and studies you intently* Sonora Keith.

Age: Twenty-three.

What kind of job are you looking for?: I'm hoping to become a reporter, actually. Undercover, if possible. I'll put myself in any situation, if need be. *smiles* I'm fearless, and I'm pretty confident that's a trait that will serve me well in this capacity. *really wants this job*

And how much experience have you had at that?: Not much, I'm afraid. But I'm willing to start at the bottom and work my way up, if need be. I know I can do this, and it's all I've ever wanted to do.

Background: *a brief burst of annoyance flashes in her eyes as she regards you coldly* That isn't any of your business, and I'll thank you to keep this interview away from the personal, thank you. *is an orphan, and was raised on the streets in a small colony for the homeless, located along the East River, sleeping under whatever bridge they could camp out under at that particular time* *taught herself to read by continuously staring at the old newspapers she slept on and by hearing some of the other members of her motley "family" pointing out the words they knew* *worked tirelessly to rid her voice of the dreaded "street" accent* *found a job as soon as she was old enough, and has been working hard all her life, trying to raise above her humble beginnings* *wants to do what she can to help out her friends, and believes this is one of the ways she can do so*

Describe your appearance and personality: I'm tall, for a woman. *stands a proud, intimidating 5'10"* *doesn't think there's anything else relevant about her appearance, so doesn't say anything more about it* *is a pretty young African-American woman, with full lips and a broad nose* *has medium brown hair and matching large, almond-shaped eyes* *has a stately elegance about her,and carries herself with great confidence and dignity, despite her history* *is a quiet, serious girl, one who doesn't associate much with people outside of work* *keeps to herself, if she can help it, but works hard and is willing to try most anything to get a story*

Family/Friends/Relatives: *softly* I have no blood relatives. My father was the son of a runaway slave, and my mother was half white. *is, therefore, 3/4 black, 1/4 white* My family and friends are the people I grew up with. Each of them is a unique, wonderful person who holds a dear place in my heart.

Anything else we should know?: *softly* I will always do my best at whatever you assign me to do, and I would rather die than let you down. Anything you trust me with will be done as quickly and efficiently as I know how.
