Hello I am NSA, NewStyleArchitect, and my real name is Rob. I am from the Netherlands. I have been in the BAP community since October 2000. I still remember it, because that was the time I wen't to Rotterdam, and I saw my first real skyscraper. When I got home, I started up BAP and made my first building which I was really proud of.
I joined the BAP community because since that trip to Rotterdam I got really interested in skyscrapers and architecture. I wanted to share my buildings with people all over the world, and later I wanted to get better at making buildings so I entered the Simcity BBS.
My best buildings so far are the buildings I spent a good time on by adding every little detail. I am not satisfied with most of my buildings, but there are a few personal favorites, such ones include the Katholische Hofkirche Dresden, because it looks really close to the real one, and it looks good in BAP and the game too. Another favorite is one of my latest projects, the Groninger Museum. These lovely world famous buildings stand in the city where I follow my current school, I pass it by every day! The last building I would like to mention is the Simcity 4 Celebration Building. It is based on one of the buildings from Simcity 4. The paint and detailing is nearly perfect, and the shading worked out very well!
When I was 12 years old I already had a few ideas of becoming an architect, but I never really saw it as possible. When I got more addicted to BAP, my will to become an architect also grew bigger. I started Building constructions lessons last year, but had to quit it because I didn't expect it would be like this. It was too much technical for me to be still fun. Instead, I am preparing myself to go to an arts academy, because after all, BAPping is just sculpturing and painting!
I am not very busy in architecture at the moment besides making drawings and being a member of the Futurists Club hosted by Fredfree. For BAP (Building Architecture Plus), I am spending most of my time on making buildings for Bappingedam, a project started by Dullemond to create a fictional Dutch city. As we speak, people from all over the world have contributed to this lovely project! If you read the guestbook, this project also drawed attention from people from outside the community and BAP!
