What has become of my life. I know its pretty dismal, but hell, is life really THIS dismal? Blah.

All I ever do is work work work. Fuck! I don't even get paid that much. What is a 22 year old doing with a full time job anyway? I'm supposed to be partying or...something...right? So there's that 125 Million dollar PowerBall Jackpot going on. Someone buy me a ticket. The sis says the cousin bought 35 tickets. Like she needs the money.

I've been waking up at 515a for the past two days. The boy has been on-call and was given the 630a shift for most of the week. I've been kind enough to drive him to and from (because there is no affordable parking at QUEENS) and will continue to do so for the up and coming two days. While driving back home I've been listening to Public Radio, which I am rather fond of. Although all the talk was about was Monica Lewinsky (sp?). Yesterday it was all about the GM strike. I figure I start listening to the intellectual stuff...again. Back when I was a poli-sci major (WTF WAS I THINKING OF??!!) I used to listen to NPR, News of the Nation, Ray Suares, and Fresh Air. I think I'll start up again. It's nice to know whats going on with the world even though it has nothing to do with me. Music radio is filled with shitty music and has been for a LOOONG time.....well here anyway. They keep playing that BRANDI song with that black macho "fuck me cuz I am worth it and I have a big ass muscular body and godzilla dick" man rhyming (it doesn't sound like rapping nor is he singing...what do you call that??). The GAY SIBLING keeps blasting it....ahhr! I miss RADIO FREE HAWAII.

NY 7.2.98 -- So the view on the right is from the Marriot Marquis(our room). WHAT A HOTEL!! It took us ONE minute to check in....WHAT SERVICE! We walk into our room. The 37th floor. Woo. I wish I took a picture of it. Big bathroom. Big bed with like a kazillion soft pillows ( I wuv my piwwowz). I small living area. Cutie fridge with overpriced snacks ($1.75 for a Three Musketeers?! No way!). The AC was central so all you had to do was adjust the thermostat to your favored room temperature, none of that too cold too hot noisy box ACs that hang out the window. And the pay movie service on the TV was neeto. You know how some movies have their pay movies at scheduled times? At the Marquis you don't have to wait. You just punch up the numbers on the remote and the movie is there ANYTIME YOU WANT FROM THE START! (sorry was I a little bit too enthuzed about that?)

The boy took a real BATH and drank freshly brewed coffee as he lounged in the nice sparkly clean tub. I got our theater clothes together and reconfirmed our dinner reservations at THE VIEW upstairs.

THE VIEW was OMFG great. The boy and I had the Prix Fix Theater Dinner. Appetizer(sp?), Entree, and desert = thirty-something dollars. The boy had French Escargo to start off with. We've eaten snails before but always the "filipino way". It was yummy. I had the ceasar. The entree?? OMFG, the boy's prime-rib was like 2 inches thick!! And the rest of the portions were huge also. I had the Chicken something (I forgot how it was prepared) which was more than filling. For desert he had the "Phantom of the Opera", mousse with a chocolate mask. I had merangue (sp? i'm a dumb girl i don't know how to spell it) with chocolate ice cream. Scrumtuous. Best meal we had yet. The view from THE VIEW just added to the greatness(THE VIEW is a revolving restuarant at the top of the Marriot Marquee). I hadn't been up there during daylight before. Truly the highlight of our late starting day (we woke up at 1130 and hung out at our cousins till 3p, we didn't get to the hotel till almost 4p).

The rest of the night was rather relaxing. We watched the PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. The boy said it was "ok". It was his first time watching it. It was my third. I was bored by it. Its going to be a long time before I watch it again. The "phantom" was the same one I saw last year. I can't think of his name at the moment. But the "christine" was horrible....blah. I say again I was really BORED by the whole performance, although most of the audience gave them a standing ovation. I didn't think they were THAT great. I found my self looking at my watch and yawning more than once.

Once that was over with (shall I sigh with relief?). We walked by the theater where CHICAGO was playing. There was a slew of people at the stage door. I wanted to wait too. Maybe I would get a picture with Bebe Newirth (sp?). I saw CHICAGO last year.....she was spectacular, and the show was pretty impressive. Especially from $20 first row seats. After 15 minutes of random cast members exiting, I decided we just go back to the hotel room and call it a day...or night...or whatever. Who wouldn't want to go back to a luxurious hotel room anyway.

We ordered the movie GOOD WILL HUNTING, which I never saw. Good flick. Now I can say that. It was 300a and the boy and I were hungry. We ordered room service (its 24/7 !!). He ordered eggs and fries, I ordered a burger. "Meals brought to your room in 45 minutes or less or its free". Since when is room service like Dominos Pizza? Room Service. There's not much you should expect from room service, especially at 3a in the morning right? WRONG. Gahd damn. As if they weren't done impressing me enough the Marquis food was HUGE and affordable. They wheel in this colapsable table, complete with table cloth, cloth napkins, a pitcher of water, individual sevings of condiments, glass ware....such service at 330 in the morning. We ate. We were happy. We digested. We slept. (well there were a few things between digesting and sleeping but im not going to post that up on the World Wide Web). The End for 7.2.98.
