[The scene opens up with footage from the land of the Orient. The footage shows various WWC superstars and the week that they have spent in Japan. They show them shopping, eating, and just all going around having a good time. From there, that scene slowly fades as a new scene slowly opens. It is a scene of a wide shot of the outside of the Tokyo Egg Dome, with the sun setting in the background. A voiceover begins as the scene slowly zooms in.]
Voiceover: Over the past five days, WWC superstars have enjoyed their stay in the Land of the Rising Sun. Many of explored this land, and for many superstars, this has been their first trip to the Orient. All the fun ends now though, as the World's eyes are set on one night, one place. One event. The WWC Better Than Ever pay-per-view event. So much on the line, so much at stake. So much to be determined, all in one night. An event of such importance, that shows how truly great World Wrestling Carnage is, this event will prove the federation to be Better Than Ever before!
[The scene slowly fades out and cuts to a helicopter shot, looking down below into the Tokyo Egg Dome where over 60,000 screaming fans are standing and cheering. The scene slowly cuts to an in-Dome camera where the scene slowly zooms in on Derek Stallion and Jesse Rhodes at ringside.]
Stallion: Hello fans, and welcome to WWC Better Than Ever: Showdown Countdown!! This is the countdown before the pay-per-view fans, and in a little under 28 minutes, we will come back here LIVE, for the biggest event of the year!
Rhodes: That's right, so much is on the line!! So much is at stake! And it's going to be truly an unforgettable evening!!!!!
Stallion: We've got a huge huge show, with our main event tonight being a World Heavywieght Title match featuring the champion Mad Dog Mortimer defend against number one contender Shane Stud! The Franchise! There Must be a Winner, and everything is at stake in that one! And before we go to our opening match here on the countdown show, let's take a special look at the matchup!
[A video promo begins to play, featuring the ongoing fued between Mad Dog Mortimer and Shane Stud that has been building up over the past few weeks. As the footage plays, a voiceover begins.]
Voiceover: Mad Dog Mortimer, perhaps one of the greatest WWC World Champions of all times. A man who has held the title for over two and a half months. Shane Stud, The Franchise, the man who is, self-professed, the greatest WWC World Champion ever. A man who claims that tonight, he will take back his WWC World Title. But just a few nights ago, the same man had his ribs injured by the current World Champion, and tonight, that could play to effect the outcome of the match!
This match has been brewing for longer than just the few weeks you'd think. This match has been brewing for years. Years and years, this match has been billed as a dream match, and tonight, it will finally happen. Mortimer-Stud, Stud-Mortimer. One match, one winner. ONE champion. Tonight, live, only on pay-per-view!
[The scene slowly fades out. The scene cuts to the timer which says 25:57 on it.]
[The scene cuts to Veronica standing in the ring.]

The Shadow [v] The Hangman
Veronica: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit! Introducing first, THE SHADOW!!!!!!
[The scene cuts to the aisle. The Shadow makes his way out from the back and walks to the long aisleway towards the ring.]
Stallion: Here comes the Shadow! He will face the Hangman here tonight, and fans, we're about 25 and a half minutes away from going live on pay-per-view! This is the one you do not want to miss!!!!
Rhodes: No doubt about that!!! But right now, we've got Shadow and Hangman coming up here, one on one! Should be a great one Derek!
Stallion: It should!
[The scene cuts back to Veronica.]
Veronica: And his opponent, he is, THE HANGMAN!!!!!!!
[The scene cuts to the aisle. The Hangman makes his way out from the back and begins his walk towards the ring.]
Stallion: Here comes the Hangman! Both of these men get their opportunity to perform in front of over 60,000 people!!!!! THis is a chance in a lifetime here!
Rhodes: No doubt about it! Not many people get a chance like this at all!!!! But both men are in the ring and the bell rings! They lock up, and Shadow grabs Hangman with a side head lock! He snapmares him over and applies a chinlock to the Hangman!!
Stallion: But Hangman kicks himself up, and grabs Shadow from behind! Hangman takes him and DROPS HIM TO THE MAT WITH A SIDE BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX!!! Shadow hits hard and Hangman covers!

Rhodes: Very close there!!!!! Hangman picks up Shadow and grabs him in an armbar!!! He wraps the arm around his back but Shadow tries to nail Hangman with an elbow to the head!! Hangman ducks it and grabs Shadow in a full nelson!! AND HANGMAN TAKES SHADOW OVER WITH A FULL NELSON SUPLEX! Hangman bridges and makes the cover!

SHADOW OUT AT TWO!
Stallion: Great way to start off the action here in Japan! The crowd loves it like this, but it's only gonna be that much more wild ON PAY-PER-VIEW in twenty two minutes! And now....
[Suddenly, "Sheep Go to Heaven" by Cake erupts over the sound system.]
Stallion: What the hell!? Shadow and Hangman are still going at it in the ring, and here comes Tom "The Psycho" Stephenson! He is on the way to the ring!
Rhodes: And neither Shadow or Hangman realize he's coming!!!! They are still battling it out! He's in the ring, and he lifts Shadow up for a bodyslam...NO! THE PSYCHO DRIVER!!! Hangman charges at him with a clothesline, Tommy ducks...PSYCHO DRIVER ON HANGMAN!!!
Stallion: The referee is throwing this match out! Tommy Stephenson has come here to wreak some havoc! And it's not even time for his match with Punk Rocker! Tommy leaves the ring, and he's coming back with a chair! The referee tries to stop him, Tommy shoves him out of the way!
Rhodes: Tommy has set up the chair across the head of the Hangman! The Hangman is out but that's not stopping Tommy Stephenson! He climbs to the top rope, and hits a guillotine legdrop!
Stallion: Onto the chair! MY GOD!!!!!
Rhodes: Tommy Stephenson has sent a message tonight...and now, he wants a microphone!
Stallion: The fans don't like this!
Tommy: Does Kevin Beck call this crap pay-per-view material? I don't think so! No wonder it's on the damn countdown show! This doesn't deserve to be on Better Than Ever! You'll see what a true match is when I lay the smack down on Punk Rocker in a falls-count-anywhere match later on tonight! That'll be worth the price of the pay-per-view alone! But that's not why I'm out here! I'm out here because everybody knows that Tommy "The Psycho" Stephenson has had the biggest craving for some gold for a long time! I've talked to some people in the back, and now, it's official! This week on Tragedy, I'm getting a shot at the Hardcore Champion in a Death Match! That's what you can call a huge match! So, Frantic and Carnage, you two can lay the fists to each other tonight, but just know that there's a psycho waiting for you in the future! And in tonight's match, I'm using Punk Rocker as an example!!!!
["Sheep Go to Heaven" by Cake blasts again as Tommy slams the microphone down and walks away from the ring.]
[The scene then cuts back to Derek and Jesse at ringside.]
Stallion: We're about eighteen minutes away from going live on the air for Better Than Ever! If you have not ordered, we urge you to do so now! You will not want to miss this event!
Rhodes: And as Tom Stephenson said right there, he promises to make an example of Punk Rocker tonight!!!!!
Stallion: That one should be interesting! Fans, we've heard about the World Title match that's coming up in tonight's main event, but right now, let's talk about THP! He will be wrestling twice tonight!
Rhodes: That's right! His first match will be for the International Title as he will face Disturbed Youth! Not a bad deal there huh? But if Youth wins the match, he gets five minutes alone with Massey! If THP wins the match, he gets five minutes alone with Beck! Lots on the line there!
Stallion: That's right, but later on in the show, THP will face Frat Boy!! Regardless of whether or not he defeats Disturbed Youth! And that match will take place inside of a steel cage! Should be a great one!
Rhodes: THP has got a busy night in store for him! The odds are stacked against him!!! But let's talk about the World Tag Team Titles for a moment! They are on the line tonight!
Stallion: That's right, they are, as The Party Animals defend against the former Champions and the team they took the belts from, Attitude Adjustment! The Party Animals have been unsuccessful in singles matches with both members of Attitude Adjustment so that may foreshadow what's to come tonight!
Rhodes: Attitude Adjustment could very well walk away with the straps tonight, but The Party Animals always have a gameplan!!!
Stallion: They sure do! And as the countdown show progresses, we are going to talk about more matches coming up later tonight! We're fifteen minutes from pay-per-view! Let's go back to the ring!
[The scene cuts to Veronica in the ring.]
TAG TEAM MATCH!!
FOR AN INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM TITLE SHOT
Jack Hunter & Revelation [v] Maniac & Frenzy
Veronica: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a special tag team match! The winners of this match will recieve a WWC International Tag Team Title shot!!! Introducing first, they are from the Nuthouse!! They are the team of Maniac, and Frenzy!!!!!!!!!
[The scene cuts to the aisle. Maniac and Frenzy make their way out as Frantic's music, "La Grange" plays.]
Stallion: Here come the members of the Nuthouse, who are now billing themselves as the New Insanity Incarnate! They are in the mood to taste some gold in the WWC!
Rhodes: But the Nuthouse has way too many internal conflicts! If all the guys can put their differences aside and work as a unit, then maybe they would taste some gold!
Stallion: Don't forget, Frantic has some gold in the WWC! He has the WWC Hardcore Title and he will defend that title later on tonight against Carnage!!!! We'll talk about that more a little bit later!
[The scene cuts back to Veronica.]
Veronica: And their opponents, they are, the team of REVELATION AND JACK HUNTER!!!!!!!
[The scene cuts to the aisle. Jack Hunter and Revelation make their way out as "Sober" by Tool plays.]
Stallion: Alright, Jack Hunter and Revelation on their way to the ring!!! It's very interesting how that tag team came about!
Rhodes: It really is, but I think they're going to do very well as a tag team unit! We'll see here in this matchup!
Stallion: The bell has rung, and we have begun!! Jack Hunter and Frenzy are going to start things off! We're only twelve minutes from going live on pay-per-view so again, I urge you to order now if you have not yet done so!
Rhodes: Hunter and Frenzy lock up, and Hunter takes Frenzy over with a snapmare! Hunter now applying pressure to the neck of Frenzy!!! And he nails Frenzy with an elbow to the head!
Stallion: And Hunter makes the tag to Revelation!! Revelation comes in and nails Frenzy with a standing dropkick! Nicely done by the big man!! Frenzy hits the mat hard and gets back up to make the tag to Maniac!! Maniac doesn't look very happy, but he makes the tag!
Rhodes: And now Maniac goes in and nails Revelation with a big foot! Revelation hits the mat hard and Maniac goes for a cover!

Stallion: Revelation kicks away!! Maniac gets up and drops an elbow onto the big Revelation!! He gets up, and he drops a second elbow!!! And now he's up again, and he DROPS A VICIOUS ELBOW! BUT HE MISSES!!!!! He misses the third as Revelation moves! And now he's up and he tags in Hunter!
Rhodes: And Hunter climbs to the top rope! He jumps off, and HE DROPKICKS THE KNEE OF THE SEVEN FOOT BIG MAN MANIAC! Hunter comes off the ropes and goes for a flying body press, but Maniac catches him, AND MANIAC SLAMS HIM DOWN TO THE MAT!!!!! THE COVER!

Stallion: I don't know how Hunter kicked out of that one!! Maniac pulls Hunter up and HE NAILS HIM WITH A HEADBUTT!!! Maniac tags in Frenzy and Frenzy climbs up to the top rope!!!! Maniac grabs Frenzy off the top and launches him DOWN ONTO HUNTER!!!!!!!!!!!! FRENZY WITH THE COVER!

Rhodes: So close!!! Great move there!! Frenzy now comes off the ropes! He nails Hunter with a lightning quick legdrop!!! He pulls Hunter up now!
Stallion: HUNTER WITH A SMALL PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!

MANIAC BREAKS IT UP!!!!!!
Rhodes: And here comes Revelation!!! Revelation beating on the big man Maniac! All four men are in the ring!!!! Revelation goes and grabs Frenzy now!!! HE PICKS HIM UP AND TOMBSTONES HIM DOWN TO THE MAT!!!!!!
Stallion: Meanwhile Jack Hunter is trying to recover, as is Maniac!!! Revelation has Frenzy though and he takes him up to the second rope!!!!!!!! He has Frenzy on the second rope!!!! Meanwhile, LOOK AT JACK HUNTER!!!!!! HUNTER GRABS MANIAC!!! HE PLANTS HIM WITH THE HUNTER"S HEAT DDT!!
Rhodes: But Revelation has Frenzy!!!! He sets him up on the second rope and he's going for the Second Seal!!!! Frenzy pushes Revelation down though! Revelation climbs back up, and Frenzy is gonna go for the Tornado DDT!
Stallion: THE SOLO NON-COMPUS MENTAS!!!!! BUT HERE COMES FRANTIC!! Frantic is out here!!! What on earth is he doing out here!?!?!
Rhodes: HE PUSHES FRENZY OFF THE TOP ROPE!!!! FRANTIC IS UP ON TOP!!! AND FRANTIC NAILS THE NON-COMPUS MENTIS!!! HE NAILS THE TORNADO DDT FROM THE TOP!!!! I guess he wanted to do it!
Stallion: Apparently so!!! The ref has rung the bell and disqualified the team of Maniac and Frenzy, and you can tell that they are none-too happy!
Veronica: Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of the match, in nine minutes, fourteen seconds, as a result of a disqualification, the team of Jack Hunter and Revelation!!!!!!!!
Stallion: We have Frantic and Frenzy in an argument here, but now fans, we are just under three minutes before going LIVE, on pay-per-view!!! THREE MINUTES AWAY!!!!!!!
Rhodes: We've got the Hardcore Title on the line!!! It's going to be one fall now, rather than two of three falls! Frantic, the champ will defend against Carnage, the man who was nearly killed last night by JaMeS RIoT!!!!!!
Stallion: That should be a brutal match! It will take place in a barbed wire cage, that we in the WWC call DEATHCAGE!!!!! We've also got a TV Title match between the Champion, Al Basler..of the Dynasty, as he will defend against Larry Gionet!! And then, we have a Top Contender's match, with the WWC Presidency on the line in it as well! Mighty Ryan Kelly and Chainsaw Charlie, ONE ON ONE!
Rhodes: So many huge matches tonight!!!!!!!!!
[All of a sudden, the crowd goes nuts as the scene cuts to the aisle. Mad Dog Mortimer storms out and comes to the ring.]
Stallion: Unscheduled fans!! The World Champion is out here!!!! He's storming towards the ring and he doesn't look too happy!
Rhodes: I don't know what's up with this, but he's in the ring, and he has grabbed the mic!!!!!!!
Mad Dog Mortimer: Shane Stud, who the hell do you think you are!??! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! You call yourself the Franchise!? Your nothing Stud!!! Tonight, I am going to prove it! Last night, you tried to be clever, and you came out and cost me my match with The Hottest Prospect!!! Because of you, HE PINNED ME!!! He pinned me because of you!!!! So tonight Stud, I'm gonna break the rest of your ribs!!! And when it's all said and done, you'll leave this building on a stretcher, with all your ribs broken!
[The crowd goes nuts as Shane Stud comes out from the back with a mic in hand.]
Shane Stud: Mortimer, you lost that match on your own last night! Don't go putting the blame on me!!! You want me in the ring Mortimer!? LET"S DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!!
[Shane Stud takes off towards the ring.]
Stallion: Fans, Stud and Mortimer are about to go at it, but we are out of time!!! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!!! Join us live on pay-per-view next!!! OH MY!!!! We gotta go!
[The scene fades out with Stud charging the ring and Mortimer awaiting him.]

Stallion: HELLO EVERYONE!!!!! AND WELCOME TO WWC BETTER THAN EVER!!!!!!!! We are live, from the Tokyo Egg Dome in Tokyo Japan!!!!!! We have a crowd of over 60,000 fans!!!!!!!!
Rhodes: That's right Derek!!!! A HUGE HUGE CROWD tonight!!!!!! People have flown from all over the world to here in Japan just to see this event!!!!
Stallion: That's right Jesse! They sure have!!!! And we can guarantee you, it will be Better Than Ever!!!! We have a HUGE show in store tonight, and thanks for being with us, but fans, we're going to kick off the action with a NO DQ - Tag Team Grudge Match! Let's go to the ring!!!!!
[The scene cuts to Veronica in the ring.]
TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH! NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!
Kid Destiny & Kyle Skyberg [v] Jago Ripley & The Beast
Veronica: Ladies and gentlemen, the opening contest here at Better Than Ever is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit! This is a No DQ, Tag Team Grudge Match!!!! Introducing first, the team of Ice Blast! They are KID DESTINY AND KYLE SKYBERG!!!!!!!
[The scene cuts to the aisle where Ice Blast makes their way out from the back as their music plays.]
Stallion: They look ready!! Remember, last month at Fatal Friday 4, they turned on their partners in the elimination match, and their partners were the two men about to come out!!
Rhodes: That's right! They are looking for revenge here!
[The scene cuts back to Veronica.]
Veronica: And their opponents, the team of JAGO RIPLEY AND THE BEAST!
[The scene cuts to the aisle. "Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica begins to play as both men run out from the back and charge the ring.]
Stallion: HERE THEY COME! And here we go!! The bell has rung and both men trying to enter the ring! Not a good idea though as Ice Blast is waiting for them!
Rhodes: And Destiny nails Ripley! Skyberg nails Beast!!! Ice Blast takes the opening advantage! Destiny brings Ripley into the ring and he puts him in the corner! And now Destiny taking it to Ripley with some vicious chops to the chest!!!!!! Ripley turning it around though! RIPLEY TURNS IT AROUND AND NOW HE"S NAILING DESTINY!
Stallion: And on the opposite side, The Beast has turned the tide on Skyberg! Beast is nailing Skyberg with some quick vicious kicks to the midsection!! Beast irish whips Skyberg out, but Skyberg reverses!! Ripley whips Destiny out, Destiny reverses!!!! Beast and Ripley head toward a collision, but STOP!! They turn around, AND THEY CLOTHSLINE THEIR OPPONENTS!!!! INCREDIBLE!!!
Rhodes: Great move there! And now Ripley goes to the outside of the ring!! He slides out and grabs a steel chair!!!!! Ripley comes back up on the apron now and he climbs to the top! Destiny is coming up and Ripley is up on top! He comes off, AND HE NAILS DESTINY ACROSS THE BACK WITH THE CHAIR!!!!!!!
Stallion: Incredible!! Ripley makes the cover!

NO!!!!!!
Rhodes: He almost had him there!!! Meanwhile, The Beast has Kyle Skyberg on the outside and both of those men are battling it out!!!! Beast picks up Skyberg and GIVES HIM AN ATOMIC DROP ONTO THE SAFETY RAIL!!!!!! MY GOD!! You can feel the pain through Skyberg's facial express!!
Stallion: And Beast leaps up on the rail, springboard, he leaps on SKYBERG'S HEAD!!!! GOES FOR A HURRANCANRANNA OFF THE RAIL, BUT SKYBERG HOLDS BEAST.....AND HE POWERBOMBS HIM ONTO THE CONCRETE FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!
Rhodes: Unbelieveable!!!!!!!!!! These fans are loving it too!!!!!!! Skyberg leaps off the rail, AND NAILS BEAST WITH A SENTON SPLASH!!!!!! Back inside the ring, Jago Ripley has the chair and he's going back to the attack on Destiny, but Destiny nails Skyberg with a back kick, and that kicks the chair RIGHT INTO THE FACE OF RIPLEY!!!!!!!!!!
Stallion: And now grabs the chair and positions himself!!! He's up to something here! Ripley's coming up and he looks up and sees Destiny! Destiny tosses him the chair, Ripley catches it, BUT DESTINY SUPERKICKS IT INTO THE FACE OF RIPLEY!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE! DESTINY WITH THE COVER!

Rhodes: He almost had him!! Back on the outside, Skyberg has pulled a table out from under the bottom of the ring!!! He grabs the table and he places it in the ring!!! Destiny grabs the table and he is setting it up inside!! Meanwhile, Skyberg has grabbed a second table!!!!!!
Stallion: And Skyberg pulls the safety rail a little towards the the ring!!! He grabs the table, and he's setting the table up between the ring and the rail!!!!! The table is supported by both! And now Skyberg turns around and Beast is still recovering!!! Skyberg grabs Beast and places him up on the table!
Rhodes: But back inside the ring, Destiny has the table setup and he's up on the top rope with Ripley!!! Destiny going for a superplex through the table, BUT RIPLEY TURNS IT AROUND INTO A TORNADO DDT THROUGH THE TABLE!!!!!!!! OH MY!!!!! RIPLEY MAKES THE COVER!!!

SKYBERG BREAKS IT UP!
Stallion: Skyberg had set Beast up on that table and he saw what had happened inside of the ring and broke up the count! I think Ripley would have had him there!! But Skyberg decks Ripley with a forearm and now Skyberg goes up to the top rope!!! Skyberg is up on top!
Rhodes: What's he going to do!? OH MY!!!! OH MY!!! SKYBERG JUMPS OFF THE TOP ROPE AND NAILS BEAST WITH A BIG SPLASH THROUGH THE TABLE!!!!! The table breaks into on the outside!!!!! Absolutely incredible! What a match!!!!!
Stallion: No doubt about that!!! Both men are out on the outside, and both Destiny and Ripley are recovering inside of the ring! Ripley is up first and he pulls Destiny up with him!!! Destiny nails him with a European Uppercut though!!!!! And Ripley's head bounces back! Oh, that busted Ripley's nose open right there!!! OH MY! He's starting to bleed! Destiny nails him with a knee to the gut!
Rhodes: And now Destiny grabs him and applies the No Escape submission manuever!!!!!!! DESTINY LOCKS IT ON!!! Right in the middle of the ring!! Ripley has no where to go!!!
Stallion: That's right, Destiny has it locked on and Ripley can't go anywhere!!!!! Ripley is taping out!! He's taping out! It's over!!!!!!!! Ice Blast has won it!
Veronica: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner, thirteen minutes, forty two seconds, the team of ICE BLAST!!!!!!!!
Stallion: What a great victory for them! And a great, great matchup!! Jago Ripley and The Beast put up a great fight, but Ice Blast was just too much for them!
Rhodes: That's right! And you can be sure that both Destiny and Skyberg are going to be in line for a World Tag Team Title shot very soon after their victory here tonight!
Stallion: No doubt about that!
