To Church or not to Church. That is the question... or is it? |

There appears to be an anticipation of something else God may have for us.
And one must say that something else is clearly taught throughout our New
Testament. It is called the Body of Christ and is an experience that few
have known throughout 2000 years of Christianity. How often have you come
across the actual living Body of Christ, moving as one unit under the
daily headship of Jesus? Its utter absence must give grief to God as it
does to those who yearn to be part of it....

consumer. We must all use Flora margarine and a particular soap powder.
Everyone who aspires to be someone uses Dior perfume, and holidays in the
Caribbean. What, all at once? Maybe the perfume keeps us smelling fresh
while our slim bodies (thank you, Flora) bask in the Caribbean sun on our
whiter-than-white towels. A whole industry geared to make man in the
image of man. No, it's not such a good idea, to be turned into conforming
copies of each other.....

Tozers thoughts on Church |
Christians have fallen into the habit of accepting the nosiest among
them as the best and the greatest. They too have learned to equate
popularity with excellence, and in open defiance of the Sermon on the
Mount they have given their approval not to the meek, but to the
self-assertive; not to the mourner, but to the self assured; not to the
pure of heart who seek God but to the publicity hunter who seeks
headlines....
