I'm a woman who has observed disastrous results from Christians that have sometimes trusted in
their own dreams, visions and interpretations. So I approached this book, 'God in My
Dreams' with some caution. But I'd enjoyed and trusted John Beaumont's integrity and
judgements in other books - so I sailed into it.
What gripped me most was the real life challenges this brother faced in response to his dreams
and visions. And they always confirmed the Word of Truth.
God used the dreams as an arrowhead that, on impact, jarred the writer into taking steps that
he would not have naturally considered. They often caused him to take risks - to the extent that
he would be unpopular among his peers because his actions or words cut across accepted Christian
concepts or church life.
In chapter 14, the writer's vision of the heavenly Dove circling and darting and momentarily
settling upon a church - yet being unable to find a place to permanently settle into - was moving
and challenging. I know what God means by this and find it very sad.
The gift of wisdom is operating right throughout this book. The dreams are simple and clear.
If this book is read with an open heart before God the truth shared seems to come out and
literally surround you. It is a book to keep and read many times for there is much to receive.
This book glorifies God and seems to clarify how we are to live with Him. It is a good
handbook and can be used privately by those who are newly seeking to move as His church.
