I'm a little penguin
Black and white,
Short and wobbly
An adorable site.
I can't fly at all
but I love to swim,
So I'll waddle to the water
and dive right in!
This year our topic for the school science fair
is Penguins. Our class has been working hard on
individual booklets about Penguins. We have been
talking about presentation and how other people will
be looking at our books. I am very proud of their
printing, drawing and hard work. Here is a list of
what we have been learning about:
1.Appearance
2.Habitat
3.Enemies
4.Food
5.Babies
We have learned that their are 18 different kinds of
penguins and that they do NOT live past the equator.
That means there are no North Pole penguins. This
surprised many of our students.
I have been reading a chapter book to the students
called Mr. Popper's Penguins. They are
really enjoying it. It is about a man who loves
learning about the Antarctic. One day he receives a
penguin as a present. The story if about the problems
and adventures that ensue.
Penguin Parade
Waddle, waddle, waddle,
From side to side.
Penguins go a-walking,
Slip, slip, slide.
With a funny jump,
The penguins dash
Down to the water,
Splash! Splash! Splash!
Waddle from the water,
With a rock'n roll
Penguins go parading,
On a wintry stroll.
