| 2002 years ago, in the year 0, a Savior was born. The Son of God, Jesus. He was born in a manger stall from a lady named Mary who was traveling with her husband Joseph. It is said that a star guided many visitors to see Him. But Jesus was magic. God had decided to have His Son because of the wickedness that was happening on Earth. it was Jesus' job to set right. Therefore, as He grew older, He often intertwined with things that were really not His business. He helped the sick get healthy again, supplied money to the poor, and more. But many people did not like Him. So they put Him on a cross. They killed Jesus Christ. In another part of the world several years later, a fictional character was born. His name was Claus. His mother dropped Claus off in front of the Kringle residence in hopes that they would take him in, since she couldn't take proper care of him. Mrs. Kringle was indeed someone who would not let a poor baby die on her doorstep. She took him into her large family and named him Kris. Now, the Kringles made toys. They made lots and lots of toys. But there was a forest between them and the nearest town and in this forest was meanest (well, second meanest) of all men around, Wind Blew. Wind Blew let absolutely nobody through that forest of his which he so closely guarded 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. In fact, Wind Blew was magic. He could always moniter anything at any time. Jesus Christ was born on December 25, 0. Therefore, each year we now celebrate the Savior's birth by giving gifts, singing, and being jolly, just like what was done on that night so many years ago. But things were not so jolly at the Kringle residence .Toys were stacking up--and fast--and there was nobody to give them to. So when Kris finally grew old enough, he decided to try and get past Wind Blew and enter the next town, Graysville. Now Graysville really was gray. Their mayor, Bugermeister Meisterburger hated any kind of fun whatsoever. One day, he tripped on a toy coming home from work and banned them in his town. Now Kris didn't know about this ban, and, having gotton through the forest with no problem, was on his way to distribute all the toys to the children of Graysville. The children were washing their stockings when Kris arrived so he gave them toys. Then their teacher, Trisha, came to the scene and scolded Kris, not only for giving toys, but for wearing a bright red coat Mrs. Kringle had made for him before leaving for Graysville. Now Kris had other ideas. He handed Trisha a china doll. Now Trisha, afraid to admit it, was in love with Kris, but she left hastily as Burgermeister Meisterburger pulled up and ordered Kris' arrest. But not before Krist could hand Burgermeister a yo-yo; a toy he's always wanted. Then he remembered he was breaking his own law and arrested Kris who then broke out of jail and encountered Wind Blew on the way home. Well, he gave Wind Blew a choo-choo train and instantly softened his heart, so Wind let Kris through and actually showed Kris how his magic worked. He took a snow ball and said some magic words and then it showed anything he wanted. The rest is very simple, really, Mrs. Kringle was looking for him so Kris rushed home. Soon he took another handful of bags to Graysville, which had been ordered not to accept toys from Kris anymore. So Kris simply opened the doors of the houses and left a treat on their beds. Meanwhile, Jesus wasn't completly dead yet. On what is today known as Easter, He was rose from the dead....but that's another story. Again, Kris was arrested and again he broke out. On his way home, he saw in a magic snowball Trisha looking for him so the next day he went back to town and found her. All of the doors had been ordered locked so Trisha suggested he go down the chimmney. So he did. The next time he came, Graysville was under another new law. Any house with toys in it would be demolished immediatly. So, after going down the chimmney, he placed the gifts in the children's stockings, which were drying after being washed over the fireplace, as Trisha suggested. Now Burgermeister Meisterbruger was fooled. What could he do, but retire? Trisha married Kris and Mrs. Kringle told him about the name tag he had on when she found him so he became Santa and Trisha Mrs. Claus. They moved to the North Pole, since Santa still had many enemies. But gradually they faded away and today Santa makes his trip of gifts once a year on Christmas Eve--December 24! |
