| She felt so warm, so safe, so secure in his arms. Too bad it would have to end so soon. But for now, she would savor the moment. Jade looked up at AJ, who was resting his head on her shoulder now, eyes closed. She lightly traced one of his tattoos with her finger. He must have fallen asleep, because his face twitched and he woke up with a moan. " Mmmmm... Damn, am I ever worn out." " Aw, poor baby." He turned to face her, and gave her a sad puppy dog face. " Tell me about it!" She placed her hand behind his head and kissed him slowly, passionately. He wasn�t too tired to join in. She ran her hand down his bare chest. "AJ?" "Yes baby?" "I know." He laughed. " Know what?" She kept one hand on his back, but with the other she reached into her back pocket and pulled out a gun. "Oh shit, Jade.... what is that for..." His question hung in the tense air, the answer already known. "You know, AJ. You know perfectly well." She tossed the gun in the air, caught it, and pointed it against his chest. " I know you�ve been cheating, AJ. I know you�ve been sleeping around on me." Tears formed in the eyes of a normally strong man. " Jade.. don�t... I was going through a tough time... please, I�m over it, I promise, please, just don�t hurt me..." The tears flowed freely from his scared eyes as he choked back whimpering sobs, the realization that he was going to die all too close. There was no one to help him now, there was no escape. " But AJ, honey, we can be together forever, just you and me, heaven is perfect you know." " Jade, you don�t want to do this, you don�t want to kill you and me... please" His last word was quieter, more a plea to higher powers for help. "I love you, AJ." She whispered as she wiped his face of the tears, and the slightest bit of hope for his life shined through. But the gun remained pointed at his chest. She kissed him, lighter than ever before, as if he might break. " I love you forever" She pulled the trigger. HOME |
