| Actually I was the last to know, Heather laughed. My good friend Dustin called and Nick picked up the phone, so he found out before I did. do you know what youre gonna wear that night? Joan asked. Oh goodness no! Im not all that fashionable. Ill probably just put on a nice dress. I havent thought much about it. Im more focused on the next album, Right. I understand that youre dedicating it to Brian McFayden- Yes. He was and is still a big part of my life, and hes part of the reason Im here today. Plus one of his favorite songs is Over the Rainbow, so Im doing a remake of that. Were pushing for it to be the first single- Heather shut off the television. I hate interviews, She sighed, tossing the remote on the table. Nick! Lets go! Heather yelled. Theyll be landing any minute! Coming, coming, He said running down the steps, pulling on his jacket. What gate is it again? Its your family and you dont now? I dont have the paper with me. Its on the kitchen table. Heather rolled her eyes and went to the kitchen, grabbing the paper. Got it! Okay lets go! ~ Heather! Angel called stepping into the terminal. Hey Angel! Heather said giving her a hug. How are you? Great! The rest of the family came through and were greeted by Heather and Nick, Jane being the last. Hey mom, Nick said hugging her. Hey Nickolas, So is everyone here? Are we ready to go? Heather asked. Yep, Leslie replied. No one was in a hurry, so they all made their way through the airport casually, just talking. After theyd gotten their bags, the family broke up into the two cars and drove back to Heathers house. So are you nervous? Jane asked Heather while Nick and Bob took the luggage to of the cars. Not really, She said. I just wish Nick was going. But I understand he wants to watch it here with you, Youre very understanding, Its easy to be when you love someone as much as I love Nick, Heather smiled. Heath? Nick asked peeking his head in from the patio. Dad and I are gonna barbecue. Whered you put the charcoal? Its in the garage, I think, I didnt see it, It should be right there under the shelf- I didnt see it, Okay, She sighed. Excuse me, Jane, Heather went out back and into the garage. Just as shed predicted, the charcoal was right there in the corner. She laughed to herself and went over to it to pick it up when she heard the door close. She turned around. Nick stood there, smiling. I thought Id never get you alone, Next Page |
