| I stared at the ring glistening on my hand and looked up at Nick. � Are you serious? I mean this isn�t a joke,� � No this isn�t a joke,� He laughed. � Heather, are you okay?� He asked. I looked up at Nick again, unable to restrain my tears anymore. This was not what I was expecting, and I didn�t know how to react. My heart was beating double time and I thought I was gonna pass out. Well, throw up then pass out. I wiped the tears away. � N-Nick, I don�t know what to say.� My voice trembled. � Are you sure this is what you want? I mean I�m not the most wonderful person-� � You are to me. I�m not expecting us to run off and get married tomorrow-� � That would be impossible anyway, I mean we need to get a license-� |
| � Heather, Just say yes,� � Yes,� I said quickly, my tear filled eyes darting up to his crystal blue ones. His eyes lit up and a small crossed his lips. � Yea? You mean it?� � I think so,� I laughed. � Yea, Nick I�ll marry you,� He cupped my face with his hands and kissed me on the lips. � I love you so much, Heather,� He said pulling away. � I love you too,� I whispered. |

| � I never I thought I�d see the day, when you would be marrying Nick Carter,� Rachel said adjusting the pearl necklace I had on. � Join the club,� I laughed. � Everyone�s been great about it though, Jane completely understands that we wanted this to be a small wedding. We figured on our first wedding anniversary, we could have the big wedding-� I was interrupted by a knock on the door. � Come in,� The door opened slowly, and Robert (Nick�s father) peeked his head in. � Heather it�s time,� � Thanks, Mr. Carter,� He nodded and closed the door behind him. I checked myself in the mirror one last time before Rachel and I went out. AJ gave me away, and as the wedding march played gently in the background and I made my way up to the altar, I looked at Nick standing up there in his tux, looking oh so handsome, and my heart went a flutter like it did so many months ago when he proposed. � Don�t lose this guy, Feather,� AJ whispered. � He�s the only guy crazy enough to stick by you,� I smiled, and lightly elbowed him. � I love you J,� � I love you too. Make me proud,� He whispered just as we made it to the altar. AJ kissed my cheek, and put my hands in Nick�s before quickly taking his seat. I looked up at Nick and smiled. � I love you,� He mouthed. � Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony�� The End �2000 Home |
