Part Two

Loud music. Loud obnoxious music. Rachel and I made our way through the crowds. So why are we here again? Rachel yelled over the music as we found out seats at the bar.

 To have fun, I said.

What? She yelled leaning in closer to me.

 TO HAVE FUN! I yelled.

Rachel and I ordered drinks and watched the dance floor. I waited until Id had a couple of drinks in my system before I decided to go in out and dance. You coming out? I asked.

Naw, She shook her head. Dont have anybody to dance with,

You dance with me, I said grabbing her hand and pulling her off the stool. I held her hand tightly as we made our way through the crowd until I found a suitable spot to dance. Rachel didnt want to dance at first, but after a few quick dance lessons, she was dancing up a storm. And so was I. So much I was unaware of the man standing behind me until I bumped into him. Sorry, I said.

 Thats quite alright, He smiled.

I turned my attention back to Rachel and we danced a while longer before heading back to the bar.

Is it just me or is it hot in here? Rachel asked taking her seat on the stool.

Its hot in here, I said. The bartender came over to us and sat two drinks in front of us. We didnt order any drinks yet, I said motioning to the tall blue drinks containing umbrellas sitting in front of us.

He did, He said pointing to the end of the bar.

Rachel and I both looked down that direction to see none other than Nick Carter watching us. Holy shit! Rachel said. Thats Nick Carter.

I know who it is Rachel, I said getting off my stool. Where are you going? She asked.

Going to thank Mr. Carter. I turned around to face her. You coming?

She shook her head, No thanks. Ill just drink it, and smile.

 Suit yourself,

I walked down to where he was. He was leaning against the bar; casually sipping what I assumed was a Long Island Iced tea. Id once had a huge crush on him, but like all crushes, it faded, but it never really went away. Get a grip girl. Hes just a guy, I thought. Excuse me, I said. He turned his attention form the dance floor and looked at me. He straightened his posture and smiled.   Hi, He said. Hi, I said. Im Heather,

 Nick, he said.

Thank you for the drinks, I said.

Its the least I could do for two beautiful ladies such as yourselves, He smiled.

Oh, please dont smile like that. You have no idea what it does to me, Flattery will get you everywhere, Mr. Carter. I said.

I dont need flattery. You know who I am? He asked.

Yea. Rachel spotted it out before I did-

Rachel, is that your friend? He asked looking down the bar at her.

Yea. I think she was too nervous to come over here and say something though,

Well thats not nice, He said. Maybe I should go over there and talk to her myself,

He sat his drink down and grabbed my hand before I could protest and walked back over to our seats. Excuse me, Rachel, He said.

She looked at him, and then to me before looking back at him. Yeah?

Hi, Im Nick Carter. He said shaking her hand.

 Rachel, She said quietly.

Yea I know. Listen, I was just wondering if youd mind if I danced with your friend here, He said looking back at me.

No I dont mind, She laughed. Not at all,

Great. Well be back, He said.

As Nick was pulling me out to the dance floor I looked back at Rachel who mouthed. You go Girl,
