Read report from Dr Davis Medical officer of Health Newport Dispensary District dated 5 th June 1885 stating that the Fever is on the decline and that no deaths occurred since last report.

Resolved

That the attention of John O’Donnell Relieving officer be called to Dr Davis’s report of 29 th ultimo , in reference to the filthy state of Lettermaghera and that the attention of the several Relieving Officers be directed to their respective Districts with a view to having houses limewashed and cleaned about.

Read report from Dr Croly , medical officer of Health , Achill Dispensary District dated 3 rd June 1885 stating the health of the District continues satisfactory and recommending that a number of houses in Doogort and Tonetanvally be limewashed

Read report from Dr Smith , Medical officer of Health, Ballycroy Dispensary District dated 3 rd June 1885 to same effect in the townlands of Aughness, Claggan and Gortbrack.

Resolved. That the Clerk request the Revd P Grealy not to require the children attending the different schools and particularly Treanbeg and Derrada to attend catechisms for one month as gathering the children from the infected districts may cause a further spread of fever.
