The abstract of the Outdoor relief lists was produced by the Clerk having been duly entered up by him for the last week ended Saturday the 27 th day of June 1885 whereby it appeared that in that week the total expenditure in outdoor relief was

The Master reports that he needs to have some clothing condemned for use in mopping the floors and for repairs. He also reports that a girl named Mary Caine has applied for clothes and boots for herself and child in order to take their discharge.

Letter from the Local Government Board No 21566 dated 23 rd June 1885 calling attention to the unsatisfactory state of the collection.

“Order”

The attention of the collectors to be called to the matter.

Read letter from the local Government Board No 22908 dated 25 th June 1885 stating that they received the half-yearly report of their inspector Captain Sampson on the Union which is of a satisfactory character with the exception of the yards in the workhouse which were untidy and dirty.

“Minute”

The Master is required to attend to the matter at once.

Read letter from Dr Davis , Medical officer of Workhouse dated 25 th June 1885 stating that he received an urgent telegram to the effect that his father who is in Dublin was dying and that he has got one weeks leave of absence from the Dispensary Committee and that Dr Johnston has been appointed as locum tenens.

“Read”

Resolved that Mr John O’Donnell give all relief ordered by the board on the following Saturday.

Resolved that the parties supplying relief be required to furnish a list on every Board day of the amount of relief given during the week.

Read letter from the Local Government Board No. 23362 dated 2 nd July 1885 relative to Guardians resolution of 19 th ultimo in reference to fining sub officer O’Donnell his quarter salary.

“Minute”

The letter of the Local Government Board having been read to Relieving officer O’Donnell and he having been admonished in reference thereto he has undertaken to visit every part of his district before next Board day and report thereon.
