FEBRUARY 2007
Welcome back to
everyone & a special welcome to our new members. We hope that you will find as much enjoyment
in Calisthenics as our existing girls do & that you will make lots of
friends along the way.
Welcome back to our
coaches – Renee, Kylie, Leila, Vicki, Deb & Rosie, with a special welcome
to Kim, the newest member of our coaching staff. Also to our wonderful assistants, Rebecca,
Kylie, Penny, Mel, Hayley, Erin, Sarah, Casey, Aimee, Rachel, Madeline, Gemma
& Laura.
Annual General Meeting : Monday 26th
February at 7:00 pm at the
Everyone is most
welcome to attend the AGM to vote in a new committee for 2007. All positions will be made vacant at the
meeting, so we would encourage you to use your skills to help support &
further develop the club. It is
essential that all sections of the club are represented on the committee, so
have a think about committing to one meeting a month to have your say.
Registration Nights: Monday 26th/Tuesday
27th February.
All girls are required
to be registered on the above nights & a registration form & a medical
form are attached to this newsletter.
Registration to Calisthenics Victoria is $47 per pupil & $30 is also
required in your dress bank account on registration night. Please return the completed forms, together
with the required amount to class on 26th or 27th
February.
Fees 2007:
The committee has kept
the fees as affordable as possible while ensuring that we cover our basic costs
without requiring excessive fundraising. Please note that fees are due 3 times
per year, by the end of school terms 1,2 & 3 & a 10% discount applies
if the yearly fee is paid in full by 26th/27th March.
Term fees do not have to be paid in a lump sum if you find it easier to pay
some each week or on a regular basis.
Tinies $75 per term $225 per year
Subbies $85 per term $255 per year
Juniors $100 per term $300 per year
Inters $120 per term $360 per year
Seniors $130 per term $390 per year
Please note to assist
with cash flow problems that are experienced early each year when the club is
required to pay so many things in advance, each pupil will be given their
competition levy account during Term 1 & this will be payable with 1st
term fees. Also we request that each
girl has at least $100 in their dress bank account by the end of Term 2. The majority of material, lace, sequins etc
are purchased by this time & the club has difficulty carrying their costs
till the end of the calisthenic year. If
everyone endeavours to place $5 per week in their dress bank, this amount will
be easily achieved.
Costumes:
If you are unable to
sew costumes, we have many wonderful mums who will assist, but there is a fee
for each costume made. We found some of
our sewing mums were becoming quite frazzled trying to complete costumes for
many girls so we feel they should be remunerated for their efforts.
Please put these dates in your diaries:
Mon 26th
February AGM
18th – 20th May Camp for all Juniors, Inters
& Seniors & Mums. Details to
follow.
Friday 19th
November Annual Concert
“Bring a Friend” night: Mon 12th/Tuesday 13th
February
All girls are encouraged to bring a friend or friends next week to have
a look at calisthenics.
They may like to join in & have a go, or just watch. This is the chance to show your friends just
what calisthenics is.
Waterbottles:
Could all girls please bring their own waterbottle to class each week as
we don’t have access to many glasses or cups at the halls & the assistant
coaches are spending their classtime providing drinks for the girls. Please ensure that your daughter’s
drinkbottle is named.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
