Though we met on INTERNET!! It is not exaggerating...if I stated that....the United Nations somehow had brought us together.
I hoped to become an intern at the United Nations in New York at the end of my study. But I was not qualified to apply for it since they required only Ph.D. students. I was a bit disappointed. But it is always on my mind that I couldn't fulfill my childhood dream.
One day, while I was surfing the net for fun! Jasper's name poped up on my random search! At first glace, he seemed just like another regular Dutch guy to me. Out of my curiosity, I looked into his profile and found out that he was an intern at the United Nations in New York despite the fact that he was not a Ph. D. student at that time!!
As part of my childhood dream was left unfulfilled, I wanted to know more about how he could get the chance I didn't have. I, therefore, sent him messages asking him for more information. ...WELL!, obviously, my messages regarding the United Nations didn't lead me to anywhere closer to get my dream job, only to something more important than that......
