PARENT/SWIMMER EXPECTATIONS

Swimming is a sport that requires MANY volunteers to be successful. At least one adult from each swimmer's family is expected to work one half of each meet. As a parent, if you are not helping, someone else is working for you and does not get to watch their child swim. The Volunteer Coordinators will help get you plugged in to an appropriate task so that we can all enjoy the season.

Swimmers are expected to attend as many practices as possible and to respect all swimmers, coaches, volunteers and officials at all Northland Swim events.  Coaches need swimmers full attention in order to maximize the practice times. The best time to speak with the coach regarding your swimmer is after Rookie practice, or by email.  Please remember that during practices and meets the coach is working to watch and encourage each of the swimmers and isn't available for lengthy conversations.  All swimmer absences need to be given to the head coach in writing. If you have questions regarding the swim team please direct them to a board member.

The 11 Northland Conference Swim Teams are for children who have an interest in competing in summer swim meets. If your children need individual swim lessons, he/she may not be ready for swim team.

Reminder to all parents and swimmers--we have agreed to a code of conduct within the Northland conference that shows respect to all swimmers,  coaches, volunteers, and officials.  Please represent New Mark AT ALL TIMES with good sportsmanship and make other teams wish they could be New Mark!
