The 1st Annual Tacky Sweater Christmas Party
On December 10th, 2004, the squires of Room 436 began a new tradition: the annual tacky sweater Christmas party. Many were called to participate in this great celebration, and a worthy few answered that call. These worthy few included friends from all corners of the university, two priests, five or so RAs, and a healthy dose of sacristans.

Egg nog was abundant, pastries appeared from nowhere, and the tackiness level was off the charts. It was a good party.

Below are some visual exerpts from what went down on that glorious day. Enjoy.
At any given time during the night, there were people coming, leaving, and drinking. Here is a snapshot of who was present during the beginning of the night. Roughly from back to front: Nick, Gary, Matt, Sam, Anne, Gibbs, Steve, Sarah, Angie, Kari, James, Aaron, Steve, Zao, Matt, Colin, Meredith, Jill, Megan, Regina, Fr. Tom, Ellie, Jen, Erica, Tom, Nathan, Luke, and Jim.
Fr. Tom was kind enough to stop by to wish us a merry Christmas, and to advertise for Wild Irish Rose.
A flurry of Christmas spirit fluttered throughout 436. Maybe it was the special eggnog or the Christmas tunes; either way, it ensured the names of Colin, Luke, Tom, and Jim would not be on the naughty list this year.
James, Gina, Katie, and Lynn. Clearly James is very upset that Gina chose Katie's shoulder instead of his, despite his tasteful Christmas wear.
Luke made a grab for Regina's eggnog. Regina, not one to take that sitting down, flew into action by snatching up his tie and choking him until he was unconscious. No worries though: he revived a couple hours later and didn't remember a thing.
Tom made himself comfortable as the bartender. At one point it got to his head and he claimed all the alcohol for himself. In a spectacular team effort, we wrestled him to the ground and bludgeoned him with a stocking full of bar utensils. He came to his senses and everything returned to normal.
Joe, Elizabeth, Luke, Jim, and Sarah. It doesn't get much better than that.
What would a Christmas party be without mistletoe? Well, actually, we didn't have any, so we had to improvise. It all worked out though, and good times were had nonetheless, as you can see.
The party moved outside in the wee hours of the morning, led by Tom in his Mr. Rogers costume.
We at Room 436 would like to thank everyone who stopped by for some Christmas cheer, everyone who wanted to stop by but couldn't, Fr. Tom and Fr. Brian for gracing us with their presence, and the RAs for making the party a more legal place.

To those who didn't come, oh man, you missed out. Just hope you're invited next year. Note that delivery of baked goods will most likely help your chances.

From all of us at Room 436, we wish you a merry Christmas, a happy New Year, and many enjoyable Pantless thursdays from now until the end of time.
