Meet Our Staff
Pastor Dowdy & Sis. Becky Dowdy
Pastor & Sister Dowdy have been in the ministry for several years and started New Life Tabernacle in 1992. They have been involved in various areas of ministry and desire to see a great harvest of souls in the city of Muscle Shoals. Bro Dowdy was born and raised in the Muscle Shoals area and has a deep burden for this community. Sister Dowdy currently oversees the ladies ministry. Bro. and Sis. Dowdy have two children.
Sis. Nancy Goforth was born and raised in the Muscle Shoals area and recently moved back in 1995, after living in Salinas, California for many years. While in Salinas, Sister Nancy taught the Youth Sunday School class at Bethel Temple Apostolc Church for two years. While at New Life Tabernacle, she has taught the primary and beginner's class and now teaches Children's Church. She has a burden for the children in the Shoals area. Sister Nancy has one daughter and a son.
Sister Beverly Bobo has taught in several areas of Sunday School. She served as an assistant teacher in the Kindergarten class, the Primary Class, and Children's church. She currently teaches the Junior Sunday School class. Also, Sister Beverly has served for several years as the Youth leader at New Life Tabernacle, along with her husband, Brother Trent Bobo. They have a great burden for the children and youth in the Shoals area. Brother and Sister Bobo have one son, and a daughter.
Brother Trent Bobo has actively taken part in the Children and Youth Ministries at New Life Tabernacle. He currently teaches the Youth Sunday School class. Also, Brother Trent has worked along side his wife, Sister Beverly Bobo, as the Youth leaders at New Life Tabernacle. They have both been a tremendous blessing to the youth in at New Life Tabernacle and in the Shoals area. Brother and Sister Bobo are the proud parents of new baby boy, Joshua, born August 29 (8 lbs. 3 oz).
Sister Kathryn Dorontich organizes the Praise and Worship for our services. She is responsible for setting up the schedule for the Praise Singers and Special Songs. She has been a tremendous blessing to our church music ministry.
Sister Lurley Frost has been involved in the music ministry for over 30 years. She is also a tremendous blessing to New Life Tabernacle. She is currently the organist and a praise singer. Also, Sis. Frost sings special solos.
