Physical Description: It is easy to see why so many women fall for Tyler. He at 6�3�, he is tall, dark and handsome. He�s got a thinner build that is tone by not overly muscular, although he�s still a bit malnourished from his ordeal in the north. He is racially mixed with black hair, tanned skin, and hazel eyes. His face is ovular in shape with lines and dimples in just the right place to make him attractive. He wears his hair short and neat and keeps his face clean-shaven.

Personality: McGraw women sure know how to pick winners for husbands. Tyler is an old-fashioned man. In public, he is the kind of man who is sweet, chivalrous, charming and loved by everyone�especially the number of women he has regularly has affairs with. He�s moderately macho�he loves drinking with the guys or playing sports�but is confident enough in his masculinity to be sensitive to the needs of women, after all, he is a gynecologist. He�s friendly, the life of the party or the sports game, and appears to be an ideal doctor, husband and father. His weakness lies in his home life. He is a controlling husband. Background: Tyler was not an only child, but he was raised like one. His older brother was a teenager when he was born and was killed in the Nathi war when he was a small child. Tyler learned how to treat women from his father, Jonathan. His mother eventually left when he was a teenager. Feeling betrayed by his mother, he and Jonathan signed up for the Pern expedition. Tyler had already started studying pre-med, and was eager to put his skills to use on Pern. At his college, he was just another face in the crowd. By joining a colony, he could do something different, something special and important. Not to mention he was daddy�s boy and couldn�t imagine live with his father on the other side of the galaxy. Not long after arriving on Pern, Tyler got an apprentice nurse named Carol-Lynn McGraw pregnant. He formed a marriage contract with her, although he never took the contract seriously, even from day one (although he expected her to remain faithful, and she did, as far as he knew).

When Thread fell, Tyler took off without so much as a goodbye to follow his father and a lover North. His father was killed in the earthquake, and his romance quickly fizzled when people began starving and freezing. To his surprise, he found his missed his little girls and even Carol-Lynn. He returned to the South with the handful of refugees who escaped Malloren Morgan where he settled back in with his wife, Carol-Lynn, like nothing happened. Shortly after his return, he applied for the candidate program because being a dragonmate sounded prestigious, and with his charm and credentials it was no surprise he was accepted.
