Physical Description: Born of a predominantly Arabic mother and mostly English and Indian father, Stacy has a darker complexion and a permanent tan. Her big, brown eyes give an appearance of innocence. They're framed by thick lashes she uses to bat innocently when trying to get what she wants. Her wavy hair is naturally a very dark shade of brown, almost black. She currently wears it a few inches past her shoulder and has foiled in streaks of blonde and red. The odd hair coloration isn't the most suitable for her complexion, but she's been known to sport stranger styles in the name of fashion.

Stacy constantly watches her figure. Before her pregnancy, she was a stick of a girl with hard, bony features and high, defined cheekbones. At 5'6" she is neither tall nor short. Before her pregnancy, her curves were rather small and subtle. She is slowly regaining her attractive figure, but she's been left with a larger curve to her hip and breast.

Stacy dresses in what she deems stylish clothes and bright colors. She prefers sexy rather than practical, and before her pregnancy often was seen sporting a short skirt or low top. She dresses more modestly now that she is a mother. Having a daughter has given her a more conservative perspective.

Personality: Stacy still has a lot of growing up to do. Being pregnant has forced her to settle down before she was ready. Stacey hasn't outgrown the typical teenage insecurity and immaturity, which has been magnified by her pregnancy hormones and weight gain. She has a tendency to be paranoid and too much of a nag. She is also a neat freak.

Before Bryce, she had her ups and downs as a teenager. She struggled with self-image issues, but she found some happiness in friendship. She always was more interested in having friends and being liked than education. Although Bryce was her first sexual partner, and she never really got over her insecurities about his experience. Bryce's inattention has caused her to become rather clingy. She always suspects he is up to no good. Stacy has been known to spy on him, although her swollen belly has temporarily immobilized her.

Stacy often speaks before thinking. She doesn't have strong opinions on many issues, but when she does she isn't afraid to share. She is particularly swift to make comments to women ten years her senior who have yet to fulfill their child bearing duties to the colony. She also likes to make comments about how "overweight" she is, especially since her pregnancy.

Stacy's open insecurity and paranoia has driven away most of her friends. Bryce isn't the most attentive husband, so she often feels lonely. She finds some small comfort in her daughter Haylee and her grandmother, who dotes over her and the baby in the typical grandmother fashion.

Background: Stacy's mother, Ariana, was a well-to-do business woman. Her father, Jordan, was an aspiring photographer who spent most his time home with the kids. Stacey, the youngest, led a very papered childhood. Ariana lost both her brother and father to the Nathi space war. The Dane family saw the loss of their loved ones as a sign to give up technology for a simpler lifestyle. The found the Pern colony the ideal opportunity to do so.

On Earth, both Ariana and Jordan were avid gardeners and kept small farm animals as pets. Setting up a full functioning farm proved challenging, but they managed. Stacy had been a rather spoiled had a hard time adjusting to the agrarian lifestyle. It was even harder for her when she was no longer the baby of the family and her parents gave her less attention in favor of the children they had after Landing.

Eight years after Landing, the Dane family lost their oldest daughter to one of the first Threadfalls. Stacy's family decided to remain south. Running away wouldn't honor Mindy's memory, after all.

Stacy finished her general education shortly after the Pass began. Her parents urged her to continue studying school, but she had never been a very good student and was just glad to be done with her classes. She got on with the wait staff in the kitchens. About six months later she met Bryce. She'd had boyfriends before, but never anyone serious. Bryce didn't take the relationship as seriously as she did and they were off and on for several months. When Stacy found out she was pregnant, she persuaded Bryce to marry her.

Hobbies & Skills: Cooking and cleaning, Stacy has a great memory and doesn't have to write down orders. Stacey hopes to one day become a chef, while otherdays she'd like to be a seamstress, but now she is stuck doing grunt work around the dining hall. She also enjoys sewing, knittng, and general arts-and-crafts projects. She usually makes her own clothing.

Pets: Menta'd blue fire-lizard, Snowflake. He has a dark blue hide with lighter shades on his belly. None of the Dane children were allowed to have fire-lizards until they were fifteen, and Snowflake was Stacy's birthday present. Stacy named him Snowflake because snow is what she missed the most from her childhood on Earth. Early in year ten, his wings were badly damaged by Thread. His wing membranes are ragged and torn. It is unclear if they will ever grow back or if Snowflake will ever be able to fly again. Stacy has done a good job training him, although he is rather spoiled and babied, and he spends much of the day perched on her shoulder.
