Physical Description: Her years spent hunting with her friends have resulted in a firm, well-muscled body. Samantha is shorter than her mother and brother, but is otherwise considered to be of average height. The slim lines of her curves might be described as sedate, although her personality is anything but. She moves with a slow, sensuous saunter ... flaunting what she has and hinting at more. Wavy chestnut hair is normally held back in a tight braid, but flows to mid-back when let loose. Warm, chocolate, brown eyes can sometimes take on a cold, piercing look easier to achieve in blue eyes than brown.

Her dress changes according to her current activity. When doing physical work, she likes close-fitting shirts and trousers in earth shades. Normal, everyday dress is loose shirts and long skirts, preferably in shades of red or blue. A sign that Samantha is doing some heavy plotting is finding her curled up in a nice, quiet corner somewhere in her favorite old, faded, powder-blue robe.

Personality: Samantha is out to get the most she can out of life. Love, laughter, and song are her watchwords. Her ultimate goals lie in the health and happiness of herself and her family. That's why she hates Thread and her sister with an equally fierce intensity, seeing Cindy's move as a betrayal or the worst kind. Mostly, as far as Samantha is concerned, altruism is something that happens to other people. She does have flashes of honor and compassion, and people she will look out for if she can, but on the whole, she will stay out of situations that she doesn't stand to profit from. Though her shrewd wit is often hidden by what some would term a 'flyboy' mentality, Samantha will cut definitions razor-thin and walk circles around anyone who will let her. She's devious and cunning, known to plan things out in intricate detail ... anyone who gets on the wrong side of her wrath is insured a wild and inexorable ride. She is very cocky and self-confident, and has absolutely no doubt in herself or in her abilities.

Background: Samantha was very young when her family decided to accompany the Pern expedition. She thought it was a great adventure and boasted about it to all her friends back on Earth. When they finally arrived on Pern, she wasted no time settling in with a new group of friends. The group eventually joined in the hunting tasks for the new colony, using it as an excuse to explore their new home.

Though she took shelter in a small cave with a hunting buddy, Sam had many good friends get caught out in the first Threadfall. She has turned her grief into a determination to fight the threat at all costs, and applied for candidacy as soon as she turned 18. She isn't sure about this dragon idea at all, but she has faith in her mother and will seize any opportunity to keep her home safe.

Hobbies & Skills: Samantha likes exploring as much of Pern as she can get to, though she shows a singular dislike for swimming. She adores any and all card games, and has honed a talent for them through years of practice. Her other hobby is training her firelizards, with varying degrees of success.

Physical Description: Ayath is mainly a creamy yellow-gold, with darker shadings on her wingtips and around her claws. She's of an equal size with her golden sisters, possibly one of the larger ones, but it's too early to tell.

Personality: Ayath is cool and determined, ready to go out and take on the world- with help from her friends, of course. She's very picky in her choice of close friends, though. As she grows, she'll hold herself to a high standard and expect those around her to measure up. Samantha always will, but everyone else is subject to her scrutiny. Though fun-loving, she's very dignity conscious, and some persuading will have to be done before she does anything that could make her look silly.
