Physical Description: 5�8�, very slim and obviously her looks take from her heritage. Shiny smooth, straight black hair to her mid-back, tanned & yellow-based skin, diminutive features � very shallow bend in her nose, high cheekbones, slanted brown eyes, clear skin. Not terribly curvy, but has some form to her. She was always thin, but the recent months of living sparsely and giving food to her daughter more than to herself has brought to a painful thinness, some ribs showing and arms and legs looking unhealthy and weak.

Personality: Surprising for her size and appearance, Lilly is a strong personality and person. A survivor and stubborn to the last, and often putting loved ones before herself (of late, her daughter most of all). She the �unsinkable Molly Brown� type, always ready to smile when it�s needed to be seen, to buckle down when it needs to be done, and never accepting defeat. If you want someone to look to for a sign that you will make it through, Lilly�s your girl! She hardly ever feels anything if she doesn�t feel it strongly, so her friends are never forgotten because they are so loved, and don�t think she doesn�t still love David even if she left, or that she wouldn�t gladly give her life for her daughter if need be. Quick-thinker, not exactly easily swayed when she�s made up her mind and sometimes a bit overzealous or reckless if one were to ascribe a fault to her. Pride goeth before the Fall, and whatnot.

Background: Lilly was born in Japan on Earth, and raised in strict schooling until her early teens. Always outspoken and occasionally in trouble at school, she was a bit of handful as a kid. Her parents, professors in science both, applied and were accepted to the Pern project, her father�s death. Her father was older for having such a young daughter, and as he �defrosted� he suffered a heart attack. Unable to thaw him any faster, they were unable to save his life. Her mother was deeply wounded by his death and a changed woman after that. Lilly swore to herself, as life started on Pern, never to let herself be so changed by some man�s death or by leaving her. Her mother died in Turn 8, in one of the early Threadfalls, not getting under cover soon enough. Lilly was properly alone at 18, studying to become a nurse. The impression of a menta�d blue firelizard helped her some in her grief. She named him Kaida, a Japanese name meaning Little Dragon, which he clearly resembled.

It was around this time she met more fully David Cole, and almost immediately the two began dating and fell deeply in love. His quiet support and subtle intelligence matched up to her louder ways and strong ideals quite well; to many they seemed an odd pairing, but they clearly loved each other well. There was a proposal when she was 20, and an acceptance. But when the ideology split between going North and staying for the dragon eggs, Lilly wanted to go North. South was dying, she said, and she refused to die with it. David wouldn�t leave his family behind. So they parted, not exactly on the best ending note, but Lilly still kept her promise to herself never to let herself fall apart for a man.

Little did she know, of course, that she was two months along in pregnancy with David�s child. Several months later, a daughter was born, named Hope Davi Lee, the middle name from her father of course. Hope because it was what Lilly and the others sought so desparately and weren�t finding. Life in the North was tough, very tough, and they had little defense against the Threadfall between no sleds and fewer firelizards. When Belle Moore brought up the call to return to the South, Lilly did not need to think long. They�d been proven wrong in this attempt. Many had died, small was their hope to survive. She had a daughter to think of�and a man, far far away, whom she still loved and knew not the fate of. Like it or not, Lilly missed David desparately and wished to return to him, show him his daughter, and hope they could make things right. She signed on right away, and with her leader-like charm and ready bolstering, recruited more people to come with them.
