Physical Description: She's a mutt. Her father's side of the family was mostly European (blond hair, blue eyes, tall) and her mother's side was indonesian/Asian (dark hair, short, dark/yellow skin). She inherited grey-blue eyes from her father, dark, straight black hair from her mother. Standing at 5'10, she also inherited her father's height. She is slender, but has a well developed chest, and a j-lo type behind :). She has the typical delicate facial construction of her asian ancestry. Her skin is a mix of her asian and European heritage. Lighter than true asians, it's almost a light bronze colour. She has a small scar on the palm of her right hand where a shard of flit egg cut her. She is beautiful in an exotic way, and plays up on that whenever she can. She has a slight dutch accent.

Personality: Kyra is generally a decent person, though she can be sarcastic and a prankster. She's calmed down a little since her 'rebel' days, but every once in a while her wild streak will show through as she gets smashed at parties, or accepts silly (and sometimes dangerous) dares. One thing Kyra hates is the lack of luxuries on Pern. She doesn't like roughing it, and if you mention the word 'hike' or 'camping' or 'fieldtrip' you're likely to find yourself alone. She hates dirt. And sweat. And did I mention dirt? She is determined though, and if she aboslutely has to do something she doesn't like, she will...but she'll complain. A lot. Which can become annoying to those that have to listen. She has a quick temper which doesn't last long (unless you do something *really* evil), and can generally forgive and forget. She does care about her appearance, and tries to look her best to make a good impression. She loves to flirt with the guys, and has a sometimes dirty sense of humour.

Background: Kyra was born on Terra, in Amsterdam where she lived until she was 4. Her parents moved to Britain, and she spent the remainder of her terran life there. Her Terran life was spent in perfect contentment. She had friends, enjoyed school and was looking forward to a normal, peaceful life on earth. Until her parents informed her that they had accepted positions on the colony to Pern. Kyra first did not want to leave her world behind. She'd leave everything she knew, and didn't enjoy the prospect of 'roughing it' on some unknown ball of dirt. But, as she had no family left on earth, and was too young to stay behind, she was forced to go. Her first few years on Pern were hard on Kyra. she wasn't used to fending for herself and living without the luxuries she grew up with on Terra. She resented her parents immensely for dragging her along, and became somewhat of a rebel as a result. After a few years, however, she warmed up to Pern, one of the main reasons being her impression of a blue firelizard. After that (and the fact she was getting older) she settled down a little and actually began to enjoy life on Pern. She's currently a teaching assistant for History, and hopefully will some day become a teacher, but at the momen is also applying to become a candidate. Kyra is absolutely enthralled with the idea of dragons (knowing a bit from ancient Terran history has added to her interest), and hopes that she can get into the program, and Impress one of the dragons.

Physical Description: Cawienth is one of the larger hatchlings, though her gold sisters and bronze brothers are slightly larger. She has long, wide wings, which if and when she flies, will make her a powerful flyer. Her hide is a green-blue colour, with darker ridges and wings. She has large, luminous eyes that seem to follow you as you move, and is a bit on the heavy side due to her dislike for any physical activity.

Personality: Cawienth is lazy. If she doesn't have to do something, she won't. She expects her rider to do most of the walking for them, even though she's not a light load for Kyra to carry everywhere. Although she's lazy, she's also naturally inquisitive, and if something really catches her attention, she'll get up by herself to check it out. She's very dependent on Kyra, and doesn't like being left alone to fend for herself, which makes Kyra's life rather difficult. Cawienth isn't really all that intelligent, and there are many things she doesn't (and probably will never) understand, no matter how often Kyra explains them. Over all, she has a good nature, and gets along relatively well with Ziggy and the other dragonets.
