Physical Description: 5'8", with shoulder length black hair. It's become streaked with silver in the recent years, giving it a salt-and-pepper look. Her eyes are the same stormy blue as Raven's, though they've faded and lost some of their severity. They have crows feet at their corners.

Personality: Calm and level-headed, with a toned-down version of her son's open friendliness. It was dampened by her tenure at Cave Hold, especially in the years under Morgan's reign. She's still bold and commanding when she needs to be, but is more subdued and quiet.

Background: Born on earth, she came to Pern with her husband and son. When Thread began to fall, she was unsure about leaving her current home. However, when Scott was killed by the parasite, her mind was made; she would go north. It broke her heart that Raven wanted to stay behind, but she could not force herself to remain with him.

Life on the northern continent went well for a time, before disaster struck. Many died in the earthquake, in the cold winters...too many. Morgan's tyrannical reign became too much, and when there was a plan formed to return to Landing, Julie eagerly went with them.
