Physical Description: Tall and skinny with even, angular features Jackie is the type of girl you�d expect to see strutting the runway or frequenting the hottest nightclubs in the trendiest clothing. Her skin is an even dusky tone, save for a distinctive smattering of coffee freckles across her cheeks that lend youthfulness to her face. Dark brown eyes have the slightest hint of stormy blue, and their shape is a vague throwback to Asian ancestry. Yet her single most identifiable cultural feature is the volumes of shiny black, thin, straight hair that hangs halfway down her back. Her teeth are even, though a bit on the large side, and contribute to a wide and warm smile. She carries her 5�8� frame with an easy grace that comes from unwavering confidence in her appearance.

Her outfits, unsurprisingly, tend to be more fashionable then functional. Though she is of course limited by the small offering of clothing available, she is fairly inventive with her apparel. She particularly likes to modify her pilot�s uniform, for not only does she like the look but also likes to display the fact that she holds the job.

Personality: Jackie is one of those people who�d be much better suited to the modern society her parents left. She has the kind of ditzy rich-girl mentality that is largely oblivious to the realities of normal, everyday life. She is extremely shallow, craves attention, and finds happiness in a cute outfit. Completely self-obsessed, she truly believes she is a beautiful and sweet person that others should automatically love. If someone doesn�t like her, she figures that they are just being petty and jealous.

She�s emotional on a superficial level, mostly manifesting in quick tears if things don�t go her way. Truly, she doesn�t really look deep enough into life to really care about anything. Relationship-wise, she�s stuck in a high school like mentality. Unlike some of her more promiscuous age mates who use their assets to control men, she is very chaste and is still waiting for her one true love. It is all part of the surreal fairy-tale she sees her life as.

Despite her somewhat air headed approach to life, she is capable of presenting herself as professionally competent. Her motives of appearance may not be entirely admirable, but they are strong and have more or less led her to accomplish good things. Thread was somewhat of a blessing for her, really, for it provided the opportunity for a glamorous lifestyle. When her father gave up his stake hold to help develop the new pilot training program, she was one of the first students. Finally, here was an extremely important profession that didn�t involve getting her hands dirty. The experience has given Jackie a few centimeters more depth, as she finally has accomplished something to be proud of. Of course, it has only bolstered her ego that much more!

Background: Jackie was mommy and daddy�s little princess from day one. Her father adored her, and her mother seemed set on giving Jacqueline all the girly things Amelia had missed out on as a wartime child. Even her brother Spencer happily reinforced Jackie�s status as family darling. Everything considered it is amazing that the girl didn�t turn out more conceited then she is.

Moving to the un-trendy, backwater PERN colony did not really sit well with the image conscious �tween�. Once she found out that her parents were amongst the few personnel that would be awakened early to help navigate in towards their home, the idea gained a bit more �cool� factor. Even if no one else cared about rank, she saw herself as amongst the elite of Pern.

With dreams of being a sort of royalty on this new world of theirs, the self-centered girl adjusted rather well. Though she didn�t really feel strongly about any particular field, she ended up continuing her studies in psychology. It seemed one of the least dirty fields available on the industrious planet. She focused on child psychology, figuring that working with kids wasn�t too bad and it certainly made her look more motherly and caring.

Thread did not take anyone close to Jackie�s life, perhaps because there are few people she�s really been close to. Her family gave up their stake hold east of Landing, her parents lending their expertise to the problem of protecting Pern. Seeing that anyone capable of piloting the sleds had an automatic leap in status, Jackie became very interested in the new program her daddy was setting up. Finally, an important position that didn�t involve grubbing around in the dirt or getting calluses from tools!

Jacqueline has been very happy as a pilot. She loves the status she feels it gives her, as well as the sense of power she gets controlling the large machines. Unsurprisingly, the dragon project started intriguing her for many of the same reasons piloting did. Although she wouldn�t be caught dead at the first hatching (what if she ended up with something like a wher? Eww!) the sight of the first dragons made up her mind. She has to have one of these new things, and be part of the elite group whom everyone hopes will save the world. Being a sled pilot was, like, so yesterday!

Pets: Once they were discovered, she just /had/ to have a fire lizard. Unfortunately, she had absolutely no skill or patience when it came to finding and staking out a clutch. When the menta-lizards started coming out, her father was able to get an egg. He gave it to Jackie, and it hatched a lovely little hunter-green whom she named Sassy. The girl didn�t put much effort into training her, so Sassy is quite a little brat. A few years ago, Jackie decided that she needed a blue to bring out the color in her eyes. She went through a number of eggs, foisting off the occupants to other people, before getting the perfect dusky royal blue accessory. She named him Beau, and put a bit of effort into training him after suffering the result of Sassy�s spoiling. He is a very docile fellow, quite happy to lounge in Jackie�s tote or drape stylishly across her shoulders if she so wishes.

Physical Description: Even in her youthful disproportion, it is evident that Aritolth is rather short and wide set as compared to some of her more sylphlike sisters. As she ages and fills in, she is certainly more stocky than delicate. Her head is somewhat broad, and prominent head knobs give one the disconcerting impression of pigtails. All in all, she looks much more cute and mischievous then queenly and lovely.

Aritolth�s base color is a vibrant marigold yellow, smooth and unmarred by blotches or flecks. The delicate stretches of her sails fade into a softer, butterier gold from the deeper color of the wing spars. Claws are a light butterscotch cream. Yet most distinctive in her coloring is the orangey gold that effervesces up along her ridges; a fizz of orange soda that bubbles up at the points of her body in a delicate integration with the more conventional marigold hide.

Personality: With Jackie expecting her dream queen, Aritolth has consistently been a bit of a shock. This gold doesn�t care if anyone is admiring her. This gold doesn�t care if anyone does what she says. She is anti-drama, anti-rank, and pro-feeling good. Just like anyone, she doesn�t like being told what to do, but she is much more likely to go her own way then challenging an antagonist. It will be a rare occurrence indeed for this gold to ever �pull rank� on another dragon. Perhaps a bit of a tomboy, Aritolth would much rather play in the mud then preen in the sun. She is friendly, caring, outgoing, and rather humble.
