Appearance: Darleen is only about 5'2", and seems to be beginning to hit a final growth spurt at last. Her body is finally catching up to her age, developing some more curves and showing a bit more in the hip and chest area in particular. Her hair is golden blonde like all of her family, and her bright green in a likewise fashion; but her hair is now cut short to her chin and layered and more �funky� as she likes to think of it.

History: Darleen was born on Earth, in the States, but she was only 5 when the family left, and so she remembers the other planet only vaguely. The family left mostly because of her mother having the opportunity to join the mission and bring them with her, and so they went. Darleen did have another older brother, Mark, but he died in Threadfall only a short time ago, and she misses him a lot. It's made her more scared of Thread, but being always curious, Darleen still wants to know more about it. Being rather talented with music, she entered the line of study specifically only 2 years ago and is doing rather well when she's not in trouble. For examples of how she ends up with things she shouldn't the tale of her impression of Harry, her blue firelizard. She only meant to help when her teacher was given one. She was bringing the egg to his office, and it was right around lunch so she was eating. But it happened to crack open, and she thought he looked hungry, so fed him. She didn't realize that meant he was hers! With her brother a Candidate once the interviews start, she idealized the whole dragon idea and knew when she turned 18 she would apply to the Program as well. Little did she know, however, that the dragons had a different idea of things! In the middle of the first hatching, she tripped while bringing meat to another pair and fell right next to a shaking egg. It split immediately and Darleen found herself looking at a green dragon who was talking in her head. And so Pern�s first unplanned Impression occurred with Darleen and Gwierth. Being in the Dragon Program and being the youngest and being one who was not supposed to be there has been wearing on her. She first moved out of her parents house to live with her brother, who also had a dragon, and then they moved to the Dragon Plateau with the other pairs, where Darleen found herself fighting with others due to some not thinking she was mature enough to handle all of this. It�s been turning Dar into a much more rebellious teen of late, with more desire to stand out and show she can do anything they can.

Personality:Darleen�s had a history of being where she wasn�t supposed to be, hearing and seeing what she wasn�t meant to see or hear, and bonding with dragons and firelizards not intended for her! Lots of energy, an overhealthy dose of curiousity, and a recent streak of rebellion in her are coming to a head as she grows up and finds herself very much not where she intended in an overall sense now. She�s beginning to relate to her sister Ronnie a lot more, and generally feels like she has to prove herself big time to those around her. Apart from that, she�s generally cheerful and tries to be helpful, but is still a bit accident-prone. Often hums or sings to herself, as her previous study was of music.

She has a lovely soprano voice, and an easy hand on the piano. She makes up little tunes quite often. It's her passion, apart from the accidental one of trouble!

Hobbies: caring for Harry and Gwierth, trying to make everyone believe in her or at least not doubt her so much, humming & singing to herself when she�s distracted by other things. And trying to stay out of trouble, usually without success!

Pets: A blue firelizard named Harry. His impression was an accident, but he's proven useful and friendly. Somehow having a little lizard has only increased Dar's capacity for accidents, though!

Physical Description: A middle-sized green, and a bright fresh grass color, Gwierth is looking like a fairly healthy hatchling so far!

Personality: Gwierth is a very cautious, concerned dragon. She�s always the one saying, {{Should we do that?}} and {{Careful!}} a bit like a young mother hen. She dearly loves her rider, of course, and staunchly defends Darleen from what she perceives as threats. Her emotions can be quick to change, and never seem too far from the surface.
