Physical Description: Her old Mediterranian lifestyle is easily spotted in her deeply tanned skin. That tends to happen to one growing up in such a warm, sunny climate. At 5'9", she's of an average height, and of slightly better than average looks. She used to be well curved, but the harsh northern lifestyle has made her look terribly skinny, with her arms and legs being all sharp angles. Her cheek bones are rather prominent, and her eyes look a little large for her face. They are a sharp slate gray, with a slight starburst of the faintest hazel brown around the pupil. Her long, brown hair has lost it's luster, and she keeps it tied back and out of the way. It's old auburn highlights have long since vanished with lack of proper care. Her normal regard for decent clothing was cast aside, and she wore whatever would keep her alive. Usually, she'd prefer clothes that accentuate her form, in colors of cream, white, or earthen tones.

Personality: Once upon a time, Cicero used to be a tease. She's openly flirt with most any male she could, using her body to her advantage, promising things she'd never give. Life was wonderful, meant to be lived.

Then there was Thread, and the north, and what was an openly friendly person turned into a reserved, quite one. She had little time to care about boys, being too worried about her own family. It was a drastic change, a slap in the face, and she grew up very quickly. Now, Cicero is a bit on the stubborn side, often cynical, and tends to tell others what to do, whether she's supposed to or not. If there's something important to her that needs to be done, she often doesn't trust others to do it.

Background: Born on Earth, she came to Pern with her parents when she was around ten years of age. Her father had been asked to go, and agreed, taking his family with him. Cicero didn't mind it much, to be honest. She was too young to really understand what it meant to leave, that she wouldn't be able to see anyone she knew ever again.

Despite that, there was no animosity between them when she finally figured it out. Pern was a much more open place than Earth, so different from what she was used to. It was a pleasant change, and she grew up happily, attending school and making friends. Once she'd completed the equivilent of a high school diploma, however, things changed. Cicero didn't know what she wanted to do for a living. The choices were a bit limited on Pern, since most were encouraged to take jobs that would benefit the colony.

For a couple of years, she simply enjoyed life. Especially the male part of life. She never slept around, or with anyone, for that matter, but found that if she played herself just right, she could get a man to do a lot for her. Almost anything, in fact. Of course, once they found out that there was nothing in it for them, they got mad and stormed off. Silly boys. Life was good.

And then Thread came.

That was _not_ something she had counted on, and while she was lucky not to have lost any of her immediate family, Cicero did lose some very close friends. She and her parents were all for the move north, not willing to believe nor risk their lives on the chance that Kitti Ping could create their ultimate defense system. They left with over half the colony, hoping that the north would give them some refuge.

It did for a time, before the earthquake. After that, everything went to hell. Slowly, the hold fell to what seemed a tyrannical rule. Cicero found herself looking after her parents more and more, especially her mother. If something didn't change, she was going to end up losing them both. The change came, luckily, and the three who had once fled north for safety were among the hundred who returned to the south in shambles.

Livia went directly to the infirmary upon arrival; she was ill and dehydrated, and both Cicero and Faustus were in fear for her life. They went for food and shelter, but not before Cicero noticed something peculiar.

Some of the people helping them were hauling around huge firelizards. Some of the others had pony-sized beasts. The irony was sickening; the very thing they hadn't been willing to believe in was waddling around with all the curiosity of a child. The Dragon Project seemed a success, and Cicero suddenly found herself very interested in it...
