Andrea Meredith Roberts
A Little Bio on our Manager: Andrea was born in a small town
in New Jersey on Feb 2, 1971, just several minutes after her twin brother,
Alexander (aka Xander). That's right, she's the youngest. When
the twins were two years old, their parents died in a plane crash and they
were sent to live with their aunt and uncle (also twins) in a slightly bigger
town in New Jersey. From what I know, a lot of bad stuff happened there and
they weren't a happy little family. When they were in high school, their
uncle was driving drunk and got into a car accident -- Xander was also in
that car, and he injured in that accident (he broke one of his legs and one
of his arms, and now he's even got a metal plate in his head!) Anyway,
that uncle ended up going to jail (and he's still there now, I believe.) Their
aunt died about a year later from lung cancer and she left them the house
that they still own now.
Andrea is a lesbian and came out of the closet when she
was a sophomore in high school. She's only ever dated on guy in her
life, a schoolmate named Ben (who used to be in the NJ SC, but now he lives
in Italy with his wife), and she had one serious girlfriend in high school,
Krista. I also think Andrea had a big crush on Talula and scorns Xander
for seeing her first! :p After she and Xander graduated, he and
Talula started a band with two other male members called the Blood Senators,
that Andrea managed for several years until it's demise in 1999. Luckily,
it was around the Jessica Lyn decided to open up a branch of the SC over in
New Jersey. Since Will Ryker, the manager of the New York branch at
the time, knew Andrea from high school and all her great references from
directing plays and managing bands, Andrea was a shoe-in for the job.
After the NJ SC was open for a few months, she met Amarice,
the older sister of one our former employees, Beene. She hired Amarice
as her assistant, and within weeks they were dating -- and a year later Andrea
proposed to her (on Valentine's Day!) They were married on June 10,
2001.
They have a son,
Adrian
, who was born on March 31, 2002. His mother is Amarice, and was created
by an in vitro procedure, using the man juice of Deshon Beast. Andrea
has legally adopted Adrian.
Andrea's strengths are that she is a hard-working, devoted, and fair manager!
Woo! We love her. But sometimes she can be a bit of a workaholic
and always need to keep busy; she also owns a diner near the NJ SC, and he
almost gave up her house to open an inn, but because Xander has a sentimental
attachment to it, he talked her out of it.
Because of her strong sense of the work ethic and the
fact that she doesn't know when to quit or settle down, she needs Amarice
to show her how to mix business with pleasure. ;) But I can tell sometimes
that Amarice feels neglected or second-best next to Andrea's work. But
this is probably more due to the fact that Amarice suffers from a lot of self-doubt,
rather than the fact that Andrea is really "neglecting" her or not. Seriously,
though, Andrea doesn't seem to have much of a personality besides her career,
so it's a good thing she's got Amarice in her life. Now she finally
has her happy family. Aww! :)
