Prison Ministry
New Hope Christian
Ministries, Inc. seeks to minister to the needs of prison and jail inmates
through distributing Christian literature and corresponding by mail with those
desiring communication with brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Our Daily Bread
, a day by day Bible study guide distributed by RBC Ministries, is delivered
to local jails and mailed to those requesting reading material to help them
in their daily walk with Christ. (Visit the RBC Ministries web site
at www.rbc.net.)
Bread for
God's Children is a 28-page magazine printed in Arcadia, Florida, which
is also provided to inmates locally and by mail to those requesting it.
Written primarily for families to share together, it contains a good Bible
study featuring Biblical teachings important to people of all ages.
(Visit the Bread for God's Children web site at
www.breadministries.org.)
New Hope Christian
Ministries receives letters from incarcerated individuals reflecting
back over life's hurts and mistakes made. It also hears from numerous
inmates rejoicing at the changes that have come to their lives as a result
of their developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The ministry
takes pleasure in corresponding with all these individuals. However,
occasionally a letter comes from a male inmate requesting a female
penpal and vice versa. The ministry cannot honor these requests,
as our goal is to glorify Christ in all we do, and to lead others to see
Him as their future and joy. He holds the answers to all the pain and
trials of life, so it is fitting that our hope and confidence be in Him.
In the near
future, a magazine/newsletter will be ready for distribution that features
the stories of individuals who are or have been in prison and have found a
victorious life with Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Be watching
for New Hope Herald.
