Dr. Rick Townsend is Chairman of the Board of Directors of New Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization, and New Hope Counseling Center, a privately owned organization in Knoxville, TN. Dr. Townsend also serves as Chairman of the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy at Johnson Bible College, where he chairs the undergraduate and graduate programs in Marriage and Family Therapy. |

Dr. Townsend is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, Clinical Member, and Approved Supervisor for the American Association of Marital and Family Therapy, and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Association of Marital and Family Therapy. Dr. Townsend is also a Nationally Certified Family Life Educator. He holds a Bachelors of Arts from Milligan College, a Masters of Divinity from Emmanuel School of Religion, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. He served for many years as an ordained minister in the Christian Church - Churches of Christ. For the past 15 years he has annually traveled to Europe through Teaching Christian Missions where he has taught graduate courses to degree-seeking nationals. |

Dr. Townsend is married to Sue Killion Townsend and resides at Johnson Bible College with their two children, Nathan, 22, and Deborah, 16. |

Mrs. Mary Lou Kennedy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at New Hope Counseling Center. Mrs. Kennedy received both her Bachelors of Science in Bible and Counseling and her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Johnson Bible College. Mrs. Kennedy serves on the Board of Directors of New Hope Counseling Center and also teaches at Johnson Bible College. Mrs. Kennedy also serves as the Ministry Team Leader of the Hope Ministry at Woodlawn Christian Church, a family life education and counseling ministry to the congregation and community. She is married to Kenneth K. Kennedy and they reside in Knoxville, TN. They have a daughter, Melissa, and son-in-law Alvin Woodruff, and three grandchildren. |
