Day And NIght
Day and night watch over me
One eye is the sun
And the other be the moon
Ever watching, everpresently
What right have you
To infringe upon my solitude?
And to keep my eyelids open?
Oh, how you rid me of my sleep!
Ten thousand stars upon the nightsky
Glistening and gleaming sanctimoniously
Ten thousand more eyes do daunt
Until this final promise I do keep
To fufill my written destiny
And end this misbegotten fate
Man, both devil and angel
And perhaps no kingdom of heaven awaits
On.
