Adam Melnick (Director) is the artistic director of The LITE Company. Recent directing credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream (Prospect Park Tennis House), The Master of Prayer: The Life and Tales of Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav, commissioned by the National Foundation for Jewish Culture, The Wedding, a community theatre event in northern Scotland and Dmitry Lipkin's My Job is My Life, as part of last year's Chekhov Now Festival. Adam's original piece, A Short History of Human Consciousness Through Grammar and his production of The Proposal were produced earlier this year at the Classic Theatre Festival in Moscow. He assisted director Gordon Edelstein on The Roundabout's production of A Skull in Connemara earlier this year. In addition to his directing work, Camp Holocaust, a play he co-wrote, was produced by The Present Company and broadcast citywide on WNYE.
