�Where are they?� wonders Goku as he looks at a large clock on the side of the floating palace. Suddenly two men can be made out flying in from the distance, �Ah! There they are� Wait�� Goku soon realizes that they are not who he was waiting for. Recomme and his father Senko arrive instead. �Greetings Goku, my old friend.� Senko says with a smile, Goku smiles back, �What are you doing here?� he wonders. Senko suddenly looks serious, �I want something confirmed. We both do.� He says, his voice as stern as his look, �This Psalm guy. Why do I sense Vegeta?� Goku has a look of surprise, then smiles, �Well, I was hoping to tell you guys this after our current and more urgent matter is dealt with, but very well. I asked my father and the Eternal Dragon when I seeked the truth about Kakarotto�s wish. Apparently when Recomme wished to rid the people under Babidi�s control of their un-natural evil you wished away Vegeta�s Dark Crystal powers as well. This was always contained inside of Vegeta�s body, even in death, but when it was wished away it left his body and sought after a host of great power. Now remember, Vegeta was without the help of gravity machines, so most people on Earth were a step up for this evil power source. It eventually found Psalm and overcame him, causing him to go on a killing spree. Psalm tries his best to suppress it but it was inside Vegeta so long his hatred for the Jericho family had made some kind of permanent imprint on it, which is why Recomme sets Psalm off so easily.� Senko nods with a confused look on his face. Suddenly Recomme turns to fly away, �Son wait, where are you going?� Recomme looks back, �If this is my fault, purposely or not, I�m going to fix it. I�m going to set Psalm free in anyway I can. Don�t try and stop me.� Senko was about to say something then gives in. Goku smiles and says, �Don�t forget, in death he can be freed. That�s what I�m told anyway.� Recomme nods and flies off. Senko turns to Goku with a smile on his face, �Erm� You don�t mind if I hang out here for a while do ya?� Goku smiles back again, �Sakura?� Senko nods, �Okay, come on in friend.� Just as they turn to enter the palace Gohan, Piccolo, Tenchi and Pikkon land, �There you are, I nearly forgot!� Goku says, �I need you two (pointing at Piccolo and Gohan) to go to New Hanten. A Saiyan from the Saiyan Island has escaped and fled there. No doubt there will be search parties willing to do anything arriving in the same city. Protect those citizens.� Piccolo and Gohan nod, �What about�� Senko cuts in, �We�ll give Pikkon and Tenchi a special training session.� Gohan and Piccolo nod and head off, �We will�?� Goku asks, �Sure!� Senko responds, �We don�t want to get rusty do we?� Goku smiles as Tenchi and Pikkon look delighted.
2. Goten�s Mental Downfall
�Vice, Carter!� we hear Ryson shout across his desk, �Any leads yet?� Vice and Carter look at each other, �Not really. But we have a theory. Kakarotto is of the royal Vejita bloodline, correct? Well we�ve got word that a Saiyan from The Island has escaped and headed to New Hanten to meet with someone. It�s a small possibility that the two are connected. I mean it�s better than nothing anyway.� Ryson thinks about Vice�s words, �Well, do we have a unit near New Hanten?� he wonders, �Yes,� Carter responds, �Takura and his men are there.� �Good� Ryson responds, �Tell them to find this Saiyan and interrogate him!� Both Carter and Vice nod and leave the room. Ryson clenches his fists, �We were so close�� he says as he looks at a picture of his past family on his desk. We see Goten sitting at a bar and remembering the incident with Kakarotto. He sighs and puts his head in between his arms, slumping over the surface of the bar. �Don�t you look depressed?� says a somewhat familiar voice, Dee Lei walks up behind Goten and then sits down next to him, �Let me guess, this has something to do with that huge power I felt a couple of months back?� Goten doesn�t respond, �Okay,� Dee Lei continues, �Then I�ll get straight to the point. I�m looking for some info, are you aware of the Secret Arts Dojo? I was a member and I�m looking for� any info on ex-members of the dojo.� Goten shakes his head slowly, �Sorry friend, I don�t have the info you seek.� Goten puts his head back in his arms. Dee Lei sighs, �I have so little leads� Damn it!� Dee Lei hits the bar and sits down. Someone in the background looks interested. �Hey you!� we see a familiar suited man shout, someone in a hood turns around to see him and two other familiar men, �You�re that Saiyan we�re here about, aren�t you? Vargus?� The hooded man looks shocked, �I thought so,� the man continues, �I�m Agent Axel and these are my understudies, Agents Huzuki and Iowa. We�re here to offer you a deal. We can protect you� for a price.� Vargus turns around and starts to walk away, saying, �You Earthlings disgust me. I need no help, trust me.� Axel looks angry, �Then I guess we�ll have to kill you!� Axel fires a blast but Vargus turns around and fires a counter blast that knocks Axel to the floor. Vargus walks off into the distance, �What do we do now?� wonders Iowa, �We follow him� slowly�� We then see Recomme in the air looking around, �Damn it, I don�t know where to even begin��
3. Secrets of the Secret Arts Dojo
�So this is New Hanten?� Piccolo says out loud as he and Gohan arrive. �Let�s see if we can�t dig up some information on this Vargus guy.� Piccolo and Gohan walk around the town (A.K.A: The middle section) of New Hanten and walk into a bar. They see Goten still slumped over the bar next to Dee Lei, �Goten? What have you done to yourself? A bar?� Gohan asks in concern for his brother, Goten doesn�t answer, �How much has he drunk?� wonders Piccolo to the barman, �Er� None. He�s just had a few glasses of water and just sat there. I was going to say something but he looked like that guy from the Shadow Law Martial Arts Tournament and I didn�t want to get my ass kicked.� Goten lifts his head, �I couldn�t be bothered to get drunk.� Goten gets up and leaves. Gohan is about to go after him but Piccolo stops him, �Never mind him for now, we�re on a mission.� Gohan looks sad but nods, they both walk out of the bar. The interested man in the background from before suddenly sits next to Dee Lei, �So, I heard that you�re interested in the Secret Arts Dojo?� Dee Lei looks serious, �What do you know?� Dee Lei grabs his shirt, �Woah! Hang on there buddy, I�ll tell you� you don�t have to threaten me!� Dee Lei lets him go, �Right. I know that two members of the Dojo celebrated their graduation by killing their Master, thus proving that they had learned everything and were now better. It took them nearly four years of planning, but they pulled it off.� Dee Lei stands up; knocking the man to the floor in the process, �Who were these guys?� the man stands up, �Well for a price I could�� Dee Lei picks the man up and puts him up to the wall, �TELL ME NOW!� The man struggles to breathe, ��C�Carter and Vice of the Shadow Law Army�� Dee Lei drops him on the ground and walks away with a look of determination on his face. �Damn it!� we suddenly see Recomme think to himself, flying through the sky, �What was I thinking, just flying off like that? I have no idea where Psalm is!� Suddenly Recomme stops as he picks up two strong Ki forces flying underneath him. Recomme descends to find they too have stopped. �As I thought, you�re no Saiyan.� One of the men says, �Yeah, he�s quite strong for a human though�� the other replies. �Who are you?� Recomme asks, they reply, �I am Kyo, this is Maxita. We�re looking for a Saiyan named Vargus, have you seen him?� �No.� Recomme simply replies, he then turns to fly off but Maxita appears in front of him. �Where do you think you�re going? We�re not done� questioning you yet�� Recomme closes his eyes and smiles, �Let�s just get straight to the point: You�re not going to let me go until we get into some sort of fight, right?� Maxita turns Super Saiyan with a smirk of delight, �Come on Kyo, let me have this!� Kyo sighs and folds his arms, �It�s not apart of the objective� but fine, have your fun.� Maxita smiles, Kyo cuts in again, �Make it quick, we don�t have time to mess around.� Maxita charges towards Recomme and they begin to exchange punches and blocks.
4. Man on a Mission
�We have him in our sights�� we see a man dressed in Shadow Law Army attire say to two troops behind him, �Let�s move in for questioning men.� The two men behind him nod, �Yes Mr. Takura.� Suddenly they leap into the air and land in front of Vargus, startling him. �Don�t move, we have some questions to ask you�� Vargus closes his eyes, �Leave me alone. You�re not part of my mission�� Takura looks angry at Vargus� words, �Why you, do you know who you�re talking to? I�m Takura of the Shadow Law Army; these are my men Sendin and Tai-ren. Now you�� Before finishing his sentence Vargus turns Super Saiyan and buries his fist in his gut, �As I was saying�� Vargus continues, �You�re not part of my mission, so therefore you�re expendable.� Vargus drags his fist up Takura�s body and uppercuts him into the air. Sendin and Tai-ren dash towards Vargus but get blown backwards when he unleashes a large amount of Ki around his body. �Not worth my time.� Vargus mutters to himself as he walks away. We see Takura reaching for a video-device in his pocket. He presses a button and Ryson appears on screen, �Takura� What happened?� Ryson quickly shouts, �Well sir� we approached him, and then he suddenly attacked without us asking a single question. We�re all okay, just a bit bruised. He said we weren�t a part of his mission and just� brushed us aside�� Ryson hits his desk, �Fine. Go to the outskirts of the city. We�ll be joining you shortly.� The screen fades and we see Ryson stand up at his desk, �Vice, Carter. Ready the Airship. We�re going to New Hanten City, and taking Gurmondo and Deeshi with us.� Vice looks worried, �Sir� Deeshi, he isn�t quite ready yet�� Ryson looks straight into Vice�s eyes, �I don�t care. The five of us are going to get results because I�ve had enough of failures.� Ryson walks away while Vice and Carter just stare at each other, both obviously unimpressed. We suddenly see Goku watching Senko fight with Tenchi and Pikkon. Goku has a smile on his face, watching his old friend fight again, and then closes his eyes, �Goten� When will you come back?� he thinks to himself. Goten is seen lying on a bed looking at the blank ceiling above him. Suddenly he sits up with a look of panic of his face, visions of Kakarotto are seen. �No� He�s here� In the Sky Sector� I know it�s him! What should I do??� Goten thinks to himself. We see Kakarotto, with Sanja next to him, walking around the busy Sky Sector of New Hanten with a smirk on his face.
5. Recomme�s Reunion
�Damn it!� Recomme shouts as he is skidding across the ground after being hit with an attack by the smiling Maxita. �I�m not going to be able to beat Psalm if I�m exhausted when I get there. I have to finish this now.� Maxita charges towards his foe but Recomme fires a large blast that knocks Maxita flying backwards. Maxita gets to his feet and wipes the blood from his mouth. �The hell? Not bad�� Suddenly Kyo appears next to him, �This is taking too long and therefore compromising the mission. I�ll finish this.� Kyo starts to build a huge attack between his hands, �I will put enough power into this blast to kill you. Nothing more, nothing less.� Recomme looks rightfully nervous when an attack hits Kyo in the back, causing him to lose his concentration and stop the attack. Kyo looks mad as Jan appears next to his nephew. �Uncle Jan?� Recomme wonders in amazement. Maxita gets ready to fight but Kyo holds him back, �No more. I will not let Vargus get away from us. I will not fail the King. We�re moving, NOW.� Kyo flies away and Maxita slowly follows, visibly frustrated. �Looks like I made it just in time�� Jan proclaims, �Yeah� I don�t know if they were running in fear, but I�m glad you arrived when you did�. Says Recomme with a smile on his face, �So what are you doing here, or is it just all a big coincidence?� Jan then replies, �I�m here to pass on a message I just got from a reliable source in New Hanten. You see I keep a very close eye on that place� History will repeat itself one day�� Recomme looks annoyed, Jan picks this up and continues to the point, �Yeah, anyway, I have it on very good authority that Psalm is living in the Underground Sector. I heard from Senko that you were determined to get to the bottom of his whole story, so I thought I might be of help.� Recomme gets a big smile on his face, �Thanks a lot, I actually already know his whole deal, but I was looking for where he was anyway. I tell you what, why don�t you join me and I�ll explain on the way.� Jan nods and the two fly off. We then see Vargus looking all around him before getting into a lift to the Sky Sector of New Hanten. We then see the Shadow Law Army�s airship land on the outskirts of town with Ryson, Vice, Carter and a man with huge muscular arms who has to be Gurmondo all looking out the large front window out across the city. Piccolo and Gohan spy the ship (not that it was hard�) and decide to seek advice with Goku, they then fly off.
6. Gather at New Hanten City
We see a flight of stairs lower from the Shadow Law Army Airship and Ryson, Vice, Carter and Gurmondo walk out. Takura is waiting nervously. �I hope you have good news Takura�� Ryson says as the two meet, �Yes sir.� He replies, �My men have been tracking Vargus since he� beat us, and know his exact location.� Ryson smiles, �So, you�re not a complete failure then. Where is he?� Takura nods to Ryson�s words, �Yes, er� He�s in the Sky Sector.� Ryson thinks for a moment, �Okay. I�ll Gurmondo and got with you to meet with your men. Vice, Carter, stay with the ship.� Ryson, Gurmondo and Takura fly off. Vice and Carter look at each other and nod, �Right, I�m going to take care of some personal business first, then we�ll start.� Vice nods to Carter�s words but then spots something in the distance, �Wait� looks like I can start without you.� Carter looks in the direction of where Vice is looking and smiles, �Lucky� Have fun!� Carter flies off as Vice smirks and walks towards three very worried government agents. �Hello boys, long time no see.� Axel jumps back and looks confused, �Huzuki, Iowa, does that mean you used to be in the Shadow Law Army?� They both shake their head slowly, �Then you�re fired!� Axel flees the scene as Vice smiles. �He wasn�t very nice, was he?� Iowa and Huzuki stand up with a look of defeat on their faces, �Go on then� kill us. We knew it was coming sooner or later�� Huzuki says, �On the contrary, I need your help.� They both look confused as Vice continues, �You both worked in our research department for quite a while before requesting a frontline job, correct?� they nod, Vice continues again, �Good. I need some things changed but if I do it then Ryson will find out. If you break in to our ship, kill the researchers, you know, make it look realistic�� Vice continues to explain in whispers to the somewhat relieved former SLA members. We then see Recomme and Jan land in front of the Sky/Underground lifts of New Hanten. Recomme is about to enter when Jan stops him, �Wait. If this guy�s power explodes under there then the whole sector will collapse.� Recomme nods to Jan�s words, �Right� we have to somehow lure him out�� �You mean we have to go back there?� we suddenly see Piccolo reply to Goku, �Yes,� Goku continues, �Recomme is in the city as well. Your first task will be to get Goten to come up here; I have no more time for him to straighten himself out. I need to give him a push. Just say I have something very important to say or something� just get him here.� Senko suddenly cuts in, �Yeah, and look after Pikkon and Tenchi� they�re strong but lack experience.� Piccolo and Gohan nod and they fly off with Pikkon and Tenchi in tow.
7. Kyo and Maxita�s Horrifying Strength
�Vice!� we hear Ryson shout down a receiver to his right-hand man, �Why did I get several reports of a break in?� Vice smirks as he replies, �There were two government agents that snuck in. I dealt with it though. How they snuck past I don�t know�� �Never mind that� replies Ryson, �Just as long as nothing was damaged or stolen. We�ve got bigger concerns than more pressure from the government.� Ryson turns off his transmitter as we see Vice turn around to a bruised and bleeding Iowa and Huzuki. �So you did what I asked, right?� they both nod to Vice�s words, �Good�� We then see Ryson waiting at the lifts as he spots Recomme waiting and talking with Jan. �That� That�s one of them� Gurmondo, do you see�� Ryson points Recomme out as Jan notices someone pointing at them, �Er� do you know those guys Recomme?� he wonders as Gurmondo suddenly charges towards them. Recomme spots Ryson behind and gets ready for Gurmondo, �Not the Shadow Law Army� Not now!� Gurmondo rams his fists together creating a sonic boom that knocks everyone in the area off their feet, minus Recomme, Jan and Ryson. Everyone else runs away, �That will free up the cue� Still, Gurmondo!� Ryson shouts, �Take it easy. If you cause a collapse then I�ll never get to Kakarotto!� Gurmondo nods and walks towards them, �So that�s his plan�� Recomme thinks to himself. �So we can go now, right?� wonders Huzuki, as we�re now back in front of the SLA airship. Vice is about to reply when Kyo and Maxita arrive, demanding the whereabouts of Vargus, �I have no idea, personally.� Replies Vice to their question, �But these two here work for the government, I�m sure they can help�� Vice smiles and walks into the ship, knowing how much two Saiyans from the Island would hate the Earth Government. Iowa and Huzuki try to talk their way out, �Listen� erm, we last saw him in the, the� city� New Hanten, right behind you!� Kyo turns around, �So we�re in the right place at least. Thank you.� Maxita turns Super Saiyan as soon as his partner finishes; �There�s no words you can say to me Kyo that will stop me from killing Earth Government scum!� Maxita fires a blast that destroys Iowa in an instant. Huzuki, still warn out from his SLA Airship battle, tries to fire a blast as Kyo, who then vanishes and appears behind him, �No way! That�s too fast for normal movement!� Kyo puts his hand through Huzuki�s chest, killing him with no effort. Kyo and Maxita look at each other and fly into the city, we see a pleased Vice looking on from a window in the airship. �I thought I�d find you in here brother.� Carter says to the same man in the bar that told Dee Lei of his Master�s fate, �Carter� It�s been a long time�� They hug, then Carter gets a serious look on his face, �Ryson is about to enter into a battle that may bring this whole city to ruin. I want you out of here a.s.a.p.� Carter�s brother nods, �I will, thank you� It�s nice to know you still look out for me�� Carter smiles then suddenly Dee Lei bursts into the bar�
8. Dee Lei�s Thirst for Revenge
�I came here for more information, but it seems instead I�ve found what I was looking for!� Dee Lei screams in anger as slowly walks towards Carter with his fists clenched. �Well� It seems you finally know the truth about our Master?� Carter guesses as Dee Lei stops a few feet in front of him, �You dare still call him your Master� You�ll pay for his death!� Carter smiles at Dee Lei�s passionate words, �Don�t you see though? Me and Vice killing him was the ultimate show of how much we learned� I�m sure he wanted it this way!� Carter�s brother runs from the bar, along with a few other customers. The barman tells them to leave but Carter throws a small Ki-Knife into his throat, then soon in an instant the entire bar empties with the exception of Dee Lei and Carter. �Ah, so nice to be alone�� Carter says as he prepares to fight. Dee Lei says nothing in response as he readies himself. Dee Lei jumps forward and lands behind Carter, then turns around and kicks him in back, sending him through a table. Carter nips-up and suddenly has a serious look on his face. �No way, forget it.� We suddenly see Goten saying to Piccolo and co., �I�ll go back when I�m ready.� Gohan walks up to his brother, �All his wants is a quick word� you owe him that much for just leaving like that.� Goten sits up from his bed, �Did you go back to dad when you ran away?� Gohan backs away and looks disappointed, �Okay, fine. As my older brother I used to look up to you, but it seems you make the same mistakes I do� I guess I should just forget about you and move on. Let�s go guys.� All four of them walk out of Goten�s place. Goten mulls it over and sighs. He walks out of the house and flies off into the sky, with the other four smiling in the background. �Can you sense a clash of three Ki�s over in the south of town?� asks Pikkon, everyone nods, �Yeah�� Piccolo replies, �Let�s check it out.� They fly southwards. Carter�s brother is running down a street and runs into Kyo and Maxita. �Have you seen a rouge Saiyan named Vargus around here?� asks Kyo politely, �Bare in mind the wrong answer will result in the loss of you life.� He adds, causing Maxita to laugh. He thinks back to when Goten was in the bar and Piccolo and Gohan came up to him, �I know he�s in the city� two people were also trying to find him. One of them was Kakarot�s best student, Piccolo. He was wearing the red Kakarot Gym shirt, the other one I don�t know his name but he had a red-handled sword.� Kyo looks confused, �Did you say Kakarot?� Maxita seems confused by Kyo�s confusion, �What? What does it matter?� Kyo shakes it off, �Never mind Maxita. Thanks for providing actual info; your life will be spared.� The two take to the sky to continue their search. Back at the bar Carter and Dee Lei are exchanging punches, but Carter is coming out worse due to his hits having no effect. �Damn it! This absurd power of yours in an annoying thing to overcome!� Dee Lei smiles and his blasts Carter through the bar. Carter regains his bearings and throws a Ki-Knife into Dee Lei�s arm; the knife sticks in the skin but Lei picks it out with no visible damage. �So it works ever when your skin is pierced�� Carter starts to think of something when Dee Lei picks him off the floor and throws him in the air. Carter lands of his feet and charges forward. We then see Vargus with a look of relief on his face, �You made it� my King!� we see Vargus is talking to Kakarotto!
9. Vargus and His Plans for Insurrection
Vargus gets on one knee before Kakarotto, who is accompanied by Sanja. Kakarotto tells him to get up and explain why they had to meet so suddenly. �Well� Let me start at the beginning. When you released all your glorious power a few months ago everyone felt it. The only problem was only I and two others could tell it was from a Saiyan from the Royal Bloodline. One of those people was the King himself. Of course he refused to acknowledge it due to fear of losing his place as ruler of The Island. The other was once my friend but he was paid off by the King to keep quiet� He extended the same deal to me but I declined�� we see a small flashback of Vargus about to leave a large fortress and Kyo behind him, �If you leave through those gates�� Kyo says softly, �We are no longer friends, we�re enemies.� Vargus turns around and looks at him, �We stopped being friends when you took money over crowning our rightful King.� Vargus flies out of the large gates in front of him with a sad looking Kyo behind him, �Goodbye my friend.� Back to present day and Vargus finishes off his story, �Now I�m here I want you to come back to The Island with me and crush the so-called King and take your rightful place on the throne as a Vejita!� Kakarotto smiles at Vargus� words, �Me and my Queen will be glad to rule you all. Take me to your Island.� Vargus looks overjoyed as the three of them start walking down a street together. In the background we see Sendin and Tai-ren, Sendin picks up his communicator and says, �Sir, we just saw the target talking to Kakarotto himself!� Ryson snatches the communicator from Takura and says, �You mean Kakarotto is here, in the Sky Sector?� �Yes sir.� he replies, Ryson has a smirk on his face, �I�d leave this sector and go back to my airship� You don�t want to be near our fight.� �Yes sir!� Sendin and Tai-ren leave Kakarotto and Vargus walking off. �The same goes for you Takura. You and your men will be rewarded for this.� Takura salutes his boss and leaves him. �Now let�s see� You�re masking your power well, boy� There! Kakarotto� just you wait!� Ryson flies off. We see Goten landing on the floating palace and slowly walking up to his father. Goku smiles and says, �Hey son. I know I said you�d figure it out on your own, but I need you in this up-coming fight.� Goten stops walking as his father finishes his sentence, �Up-coming fight? You mean with Kakarotto? There�s no chance in hell of winning� ever!� Goku smiles at his son, �Like I�ve never heard that before. Trust me, no matter how outmatched you are there is always a way to win. He may be stronger, but you�re smarter. You have a lifetime of battle experience to use!� Goten turns to leave, �That won�t help us this time�� Goku puts his hand on his son�s shoulder, �When I and Senko were in an insurmountable odds kind of pinch, there was this technique we used� just listen to this�� Goku whispers in Goten�s ear, after a few seconds Goten seems intrigued.
10. Clash of the Superpowers: Ryson vs. Kakarotto.
�I�ve found you!� we see Ryson shout from behind Kakarotto, Sanja and Vargus. �I�m finally going get my revenge, Kakarotto!� Ryson jumps over and lands in front of his foe. Kakarotto smiles, �Well, if it isn�t Ryson of the Shadow Law Army�� Vargus steps in front of his future King, �I�ll handle him, my King!� Kakarotto shakes his head, �No Vargus. You�re not strong enough, believe me. Take your Queen and leave the Sky Sector and I�ll join you soon.� Vargus nods and he and Sanja fly off the sector. Ryson and Kakarotto stare each other down, Kakarotto turns Super Saiyan Elite (only the first level) and Ryson begins to concentrate his energy, causing the entire Sky Sector to shake and the streets around them to empty of people. When Ryson finishes powering up he flies towards Kakarotto and the two begin to fight, Ryson hits Kakarotto into a building and says, �What happened to all that power you had, huh?� Kakarotto gets up from the rubble and wipes the blood off of his mouth, �I�m only at half power, fool. It�s no fun if I just fully transform and win�� Ryson looks worried and then shakes it off as he charges towards Kakarotto once more. We then see an exhausted Jan slowly getting to his feet as Recomme is trying to fight the monster known as Gurmondo. Recomme fires several small blasts towards his opponent but Gurmondo uses his large arms to block them. Recomme lands next to his Uncle as they ponder what to do. Suddenly Piccolo, Gohan, Pikkon and Tenchi land next to them, �You guys could not have picked a better time to arrive!� Recomme shouts in delight. Gurmondo screams like a mad man and runs towards all of them, Tenchi and Pikkon take to the air and fire Ki blasts towards him, at the same time Jan, Recomme, Piccolo and Gohan do the same. Gurmondo blocks the kid�s attacks with his arms, leaving his body wide open for everyone else�s attacks. Gurmondo gets blasted off into the distance with a large scream of fear. Everyone relaxes, especially Jan and Recomme. After catching his breath, Jan says, �Hey Recomme, with these guys by your side you don�t need me. I�m too old for this stuff anyway.� Jan bids his nephew farewell and flies away. �Do you guys feel that?� Piccolo asks while looking above him, �Yeah. No doubt about it, Ryson and Kakarotto are fighting up there�� Gohan replies. They all look above themselves with concern. Suddenly we see Carter and Dee Lei�s fight in the bar again. Dee Lei catches Carter with a nice hit when he looked away for a brief second. As Carter gets up he thinks to himself, �Damn it, they�ve started� Vice can�t do the next phase without me� I have to end this now!�
11. Dee Lei�s Downfall
A tired and beaten Carter stands to his feet, angry that he is being beaten by someone simply due to a unique power rather than strength or expertise. �Ready to give up yet?� wonders a smiling Dee Lei, �If so I�ll make it quick.� Carter suddenly smiles and slaps his hands together, then slowly pulls them apart to create a large spear made of Ki, which he then suddenly drives into Dee Lei�s chest. Carter keeps pushing the scared Dee Lei until the spear has him stuck on the wall. Dee Lei just hangs on the wall in silence, trying to come to terms with what has happened. �Ha,� Carter shouts, �Even if you won�t die for an hour or two, you�ll just hang there until you do. I�ve won simply because I�m smarter� I don�t know what Master was thinking with you�� Carter walks out of the bar as Dee Lei just hangs, still in disbelief. We see the battle between Kakarotto and Ryson. They�re fighting along the roads of the Sky Sector of New Hanten, knocking cars out of the way as they go. Ryson is starting to show the effects of the battle, where as Kakarotto just has a few scratches and is yet to transform to his final form. Ryson fires a large Ki blast but Kakarotto manages to kick it away, but with his concentration focused on that, Ryson slips behind him and flies in with a double boot to Kakarotto�s back, sending him flying through a building and a large barrier. Kakarotto, now floating above the outskirts of the city rather than in the Sky Sector, smiles as he holds his back. Ryson arrives and charges towards him, the battle continues. We see Carter rejoin Vice as they both look up into the sky at the battle above, they smile. �Targets found� suddenly says Kyo as he spots Piccolo and Gohan. He and Maxita land, getting the attention of everyone. �You guys?� wonders Recomme, Kyo looks unimpressed, �We�re not interested in you. You two (pointing at Piccolo and Gohan) tell us where Vargus is or prepare to die!� Piccolo looks confused, �If we knew we would be where he is�� Recomme cuts him off, �Don�t waste your breath, Piccolo. He won�t listen� He�ll only fight.� Kyo looks annoyed, �I�m not a savage, I just don�t like having my time wasted.� Gohan gets ready to fight, as does Piccolo, causing Maxita and Kyo to do the same. �I guess we�re doing this then�.� Gohan says, �What�s a matter? Scared?� wonders Maxita. Kyo and Piccolo start to fight, as do Gohan and Maxita. Recomme tells Pikkon and Tenchi to stay back, but then notices Psalm in a large trench coat with the collars covering part of his face, �Stay where you are boys� I�ve got a fight as well�.�
12. A History Lesson
�Hey Psalm!� Recomme shouts, �Over here.� Psalm�s eyes go wide as he turns around, �No� Not now! I�ve started to build a normal life! ARGH!� Psalm holds his head and emits a large amount of dark Ki force; he then looks over to Recomme with an evil smirk. Recomme has a rare look of seriousness on his face, �I know it�s my fault this has happened to you� so I�m going to fix it.� Recomme leaps in the air and then down towards Psalm, who blocks his attack. �Is that all you�ve got boy?� wonders Psalm, Recomme looks annoyed and goes for a second attack, but it�s also blocked. Recomme is kicked to the floor. We see Goten watching from a fair distance, standing on top of a house, �Why Recomme�? What�s the point?� Goten thinks to himself before looking into the sky, �and he�s so powerful� I don�t know if even this trick is going to work, father�� Suddenly we see Sanja and Vargus on the floor, Sanja catches eye of Goten, �It�s� it�s him! The guy who killed Tooma!� Vargus turns to look at Goten, �Do you want him eliminated, my Queen?� he asks, �Yes Vargus, and make it slow�� Sanja smiles as Vargus dashes towards Goten and knocks him off the house and to the floor. Goten tries to shake off the unexpected attack but Vargus soon lands on him. Goten tries a counter punch but is blocked and knocked to the floor. Goten starts sweating, �No� even he�s too powerful� Why? WHY?!� Suddenly Goten opens his eye and sees nothing but black, then an image of Chris appears, �So grandson, I hear you�ve gone soft.� Goten looks confused, �It�s not like that�. I�m just too weak!� Chris looks angry, then an image of Krillin appears and says, �Do you know how many time we�ve faced insurmountable odds and won? How many times it looked like it would be impossible to win, but we did it anyway?� Chris continues, �Not just us either. Your father, Goku. Senko, Kakarot, Recomme� hell, even yourself! What makes this different?� Goten closes his eyes in frustration, �Kakarotto is stupidly powerful! I mean, I�m not even close!� Chris and Krillin laugh, �Kakarotto? You mean the person you saw the day he was born? You were helping wipe the universe of Baby before he WAS a baby!� Goten suddenly looks surprised, �What�s a matter?� Krillin continues from Chris, �Never thought of it that way? Combat experience! Out smart him, invent a move that will get past his power, find a new transformation, I don�t know! But all I know is there is always a way!� Goten looks convinced, Chris finishes it off, �Good luck Goten, and remember, if your last name is Heero you can win any battle!� Suddenly we see back in the real world and Vargus swings to punch Goten, but he catches it and powers up to Semi-Super Saiyan. Vargus steps back in confusion and Goten smiles, �I�m finally ready��
13. Prisoners of War
The battle between Ryson and Kakarotto is continuing. Ryson tries a few large Ki blasts but Kakarotto weaves in between them and punches him. Ryson looks angry as he starts charging up two huge blasts in both his hands. Kakarotto sensing the large amount of energy suddenly starts charging up a Final Flash. The two large build ups of Ki are noticed simultaneously by everyone, and then Ryson fires it all as one huge beam of Ki, causing Kakarotto to respond in kind. The resulting power struggle causes the entire city to shake; the tremors can be felt for miles and miles. Everyone is laying on the floor, �Shit!� Recomme shouts to himself, �It feels as if the planet is breaking apart!� Ryson starts to win the battle until Kakarotto smirks, �Did you forget? This isn�t anywhere near my full power!� Kakarotto suddenly injects more Ki into his blast, causing it to head towards Ryson in a hurry. With no time to get out of the way Ryson is driven into the ground and in the middle of a huge explosion of Ki that causes mass damage on the nearby buildings and scenery, as well as causing winds and shock waves that pummel anything in a wide radius. When the Ki disappears, Ryson is left in the middle of the crater, clinging to life. Kakarotto stares at him for a moment and then turns back to normal before flying off. Everyone starts getting up and resuming their fights. Kyo and Maxita start fighting a tired Piccolo and Gohan. Maxita has Gohan down and is about to fire a blast when Pikkon and Tenchi fire a joint Kamehameha wave, something they obviously just learned from Goku and Senko. The blast is enough to take Maxita off his feet, but that�s all. Maxita looks angrily at the boys but is kicked in the back of the head by Gohan before he can act. Kyo is looking at this from a distance while Piccolo is trying to land a hit on him. Kyo sighs and suddenly strikes Piccolo hard in the gut, so hard that Piccolo falls unconscious and slumps over his shoulder. Kyo suddenly appears behind Pikkon and Tenchi and drops Piccolo on the floor. He hits the two kids in the back of the neck, causing them to fall unconscious also. Maxita and Gohan are continuing to fight until Kyo once again appears, this time in between them, and then appears behind Gohan in an instant. �This is over NOW!� Kyo chops Gohan in the side of the neck and falls to the floor, out cold. Maxita looks confused, �Why didn�t you let me kill them?� Kyo holds a finger out, telling Maxita to be quiet. Kyo picks a receiver out of his pocket, �Greetings my King. I have some bad news� Yes, I�m afraid Vargus has allied himself with the Ultra Super Saiyan Elite, thus we can�t win� I do have some prisoners for you and your scientists� Yes, quite the selection, a top Earth fighter, a top Earth fighter with � Saiyan blood in him, a � Saiyan boy and an Earth boy� Yes, I thought they�d be perfect as well� Yes I understand that, sir. We�ll keep them in the prison until then. Okay.� Kyo turns off the receiver. �Pick up those boys and the Earth fighter. We�re returning home.� Kyo picks up Gohan and flies away. Maxita, who looks disappointed, picks up Pikkon and Tenchi in one go under his arm and then puts Piccolo over his right shoulder. He takes off after his partner. We see Carter�s brother has just overheard Kyo�s conversation and walks off.
14. Battle Interrupted!
We see Recomme being knocked backwards. Psalm is now firing small blasts from his palm; each one Recomme just gets out of the way of. Recomme is starting to get angry, �This is stupid! I can�t even get close to him� I guess I�ll have to try this out�� Recomme stops in one place and starts to charge up, Psalm stops out of interest. Suddenly Recomme�s body gets partially surrounded by electric Ki, almost like a partial Energy Form. Recomme leaps forwards and punches the unsuspecting Psalm right across the jaw, causing him to go flying backwards and into a building. Recomme returns to normal, out of breath �Okay�� he thinks to himself, �Maybe I do need to ask dad how to do this properly�� The rubble of the building suddenly explodes as Psalm is going nuts. Recomme is just managing to stay on his feet as Psalm screams in anger. Then without warning Kakarotto lands in between them both, Recomme looks rightfully worried. Psalm stops screaming as he sees Kakarotto. �Okay, thanks for the information�� We suddenly see Axel tell Carter�s brother, �What did you say your name was?� �Karter.� He says, �So wait�� Axel replies, �Your name is Carter as well?� Karter shakes his head, �No! I�m Karter with a K, he�s Carter with a C!� Axel shakes his head, �Yikes, whatever. Thanks for the dirt on SLA and the Saiyans. Ever thought about becoming a member of the Government?� Karter thinks about it for a moment, �Why don�t you come back to HQ with me?� Axel adds, Karter nods and two fly off. Goten and Vargus are still fighting, but Goten is having a hard time now that Vargus has turned Super Saiyan. Suddenly they both sense something, �Shit� is that Kakarotto powering up again?� wonders Goten, Sanja obviously sensed the same thing and flies off in that direction. �Wait my Queen!� Vargus flies after her. Goten shrugs and flies behind them. We see that Kakarotto has indeed powered up to Super Saiyan Elite in response to Psalm going nuts again and creating a huge dome of power. Kakarotto focuses on one part of the dome and then fires a small beam of Ki into it. It goes through the dome and hits Psalm in the chest. Psalm falls backwards, K.O.�d. Kakarotto turns to look at Recomme with a smile on his face; Recomme gulps and gets ready to fight. �Don�t worry Recomme.� Kakarotto says with a smile, �I won�t hurt you until everyone gets here.� Recomme looks confused and doesn�t back down. We see Ryson slowly crawling into his ship, and then just managing to stand up using the wall. He hugs the wall until he makes it to his office, where he falls to the floor. He crawls to his desk and gets a remote and points it at a wall, revealing a man tied up in chains, �Kill them Deeshi! Kill my enemies!�
15. The End of the Shadow Law Army.
�Deeshi! Listen to me!� Ryson looks confused and presses another button, this time releasing the chains, but Deeshi just stands there. Ryson is panicked when Vice enters the room, �You don�t think we�d allow you to have such a powerful ally do you?� Ryson looks angry, �You dare betray me!?� Ryson is about fire a blast when Vice fades away into the shadows; suddenly he appears behind him with Carter in tow, who throws a needle made of Ki into the side of Ryson�s neck. A large amount of blood starts to pour out and Ryson tries to hold it in as he collapses, �Why�?� he mutters. Vice and Carter stand before him, �You fool! We�ve been in charge all along, have you not noticed?� Vice says, Carter continues, �We�ve always used you. When we first met me and Vice saw how much raw power you had, rather than risk you rising up against us one day, we allied with you. Do you not remember?� We start seeing the scenes they speak of, �After our first meeting you got a set of Dragon Balls and wished for a large sum of money, at that point me and Carter were killing our former master. When we reunited you told us of your success. We were impressed, until you said you were going to use it for the future of your family�� Carter continues: �So we tried convincing you to form an army, but you would have none of it. That was until you eldest son was taken to hospital after being mysteriously beaten in the streets. What a funny coincidence that that would happen on the same day that we brought up the army idea again. Suddenly having an army to protect you family was a good idea.� Vice continues: �About a year later and the Shadow Law Army was up and running, but no matter how hard we tried, me and Carter couldn�t assemble a set of Dragon Balls. Since the world was destroyed and brought back, they were all in someone�s possession, someone who wasn�t in a hurry to say they have one. So we had to come up with a reason for you to use the army to search for Dragon Balls. You had all the money and power you could want, so we had to take away something from you��
Back in real time Ryson�s eyes go wide, �No� Nooo!� Ryson shuts his eyes and tears come out, Vice smiles and continues, this time kneeling so as to make sure Ryson can hear, �Yes! We killed your family. Thanks to combining my power to hide in shadows with Carter�s ability to fire small Ki weapons that can disappear, it was no trouble at all. Suddenly we came up with the idea to wish them back using the Dragon Balls and you were all over it!� Carter continues: �Sadly the whole army had trouble, mostly due to those do-gooders from above, and when they went into one set it was even more difficult! Then, when we finally had them all, you blew it. Not only did you blow it, but you wanted to go after an opponent obviously more powerful than yourself rather than wait the year for them to return. You going after Kakarotto put us and our army in jeopardy, so it�s finally came to this.� Back to reality, Ryson is still in tears, Carter and Vice slowly walk out the room, Vice stops and turns around, �Oh and one last thing. Thanks!� Vice and Carter laugh, Vice presses a button on a control and Deeshi follows them out of the room. Ryson finally gives up and removes his hand from his neck and crawls to his desk, where he picks up a picture of him and his family and touches it slowly, �I�m� coming to you�� Ryson falls backwards, dead.
16. The Birth of the Fusion Warrior: Gotomme!
We see Takura and his men walk up to Vice, Carter and Deeshi, �What�s going on?� Takura asks, �I heard Ryson was injured!� Vice and Carter look at each other and start to laugh. More out of nerves than anything else, Takura and his men laugh along with it, thinking that it was the prospect of Ryson being injured that they were laughing at. �No my friend!� Vice says, �It�s a revolution!� Takura and his men stop laughing, �and now to trim the fat!� Vice blasts Takura into nothingness as Carter jumps up and throws two lots of Ki knifes into his men. Vice looks at the corpses and smiles, �Right, let�s gather up the men and play a game of �Who lives, who dies?�� Carter and Vice walk off. We see Goten landing next to Recomme and Vargus and Sanja landing next to Kakarotto. �Nice to see you out of your funk, Goten.� Goten smiles and they both go into a defensive stance. �Sir, please let me deal with them.� Kakarotto looks at Vargus, �No. I will deal with them; they�re old friends of mine. You take Sanja far away from here and I�ll meet up with you. Sanja starts to object before being cut off by Kakarotto, �Listen, you�re carrying the future of the Vejita bloodline! I don�t want either of you to be hurt! Now go!� Everyone seems shocked, �You�re pregnant, my Queen!?� Vargus shouts, �In that case please come with me, my Queen.� Sanja nods and kisses Kakarotto goodbye. They fly off as Kakarotto turns to Goten and Recomme. �Hey Recomme,� Goten whispers in his ear, �Do you remember�� he mutters something in his ear and Recomme�s eyes go wide, �Okay� This should be interesting.� Goten and Recomme jump a small distance apart from each other and then do the fusion dance. Kakarotto in confused and he gets blinded by a strong white light. Once it settles a single warrior is standing, wearing the traditional fusion dance garb. �What the HELL is going on?!� shouts Kakarotto, �They�ve fused into one!� The warrior smiles and folds his arms, �Hmmm� Recoten? No� Gotomme will have to do.� Kakarotto comes to terms with what has happened and once again only transforms to Super Saiyan Elite. Gotomme smirks, �You might want to go a bit higher, as I�ve got a little trick up my sleeve.� Gotomme powers up and transforms into what looks like a combination of Semi-Super Saiyan and Energy form. �Hmmm� Let�s call this� Semi-Saiyan Energy Form!� Kakarotto gets ready to attack, and Gotomme just looks relaxed. �Okay, I�ll make the first move!� Kakarotto lunges forward.
17. Climactic Showdown: Kakarotto vs. Gotomme.
Kakarotto keeps trying to land a punch but Gotomme keeps dodging. Gotomme then kicks Kakarotto so hard that he crashes upwards through the Sky Sector and land on the Sector�s floor. Gotomme flies up and lands in front of him. Kakarotto wipes the blood from his mouth and fires a blast, which is easily deflected by Gotomme. Kakarotto gets to his feet and smiles, �Okay� Fine, by your request: Ultra Super Saiyan Elite!� Kakarotto charges up, causing the Sky Sector to rumble and building to fall. The look of fun and joy disappears from Gotomme�s face, �Time to get serious.� Once Kakarotto finishes he dashes towards Gotomme and then flies above him, firing a huge blast that knocks him through the Sky Sector and down into New Hanten itself. Kakarotto is noticeably tired as he slowly descends towards where Gotomme landed. Gotomme gets out of the crater and dusts himself off. �What�s the matter, Kakarotto? Tired? Faced to many super powers today or do you just not have complete control in that form yet?� Kakarotto gets angry and fires a Big Bang Attack, but unexpectedly Gotomme responds with the same move. The resulting explosion knocks both fighters flying backwards across the city. Gotomme shakes it off and sees that the city is completely trashed, �Man� sorry everyone. With one set of Dragon Balls these city fights are getting way to dangerous�� Gotomme then spots Kakarotto darting towards him, they start to exchanges punches, kicks and a variety of Ki blasts over the next fifty minutes, both getting more and more battered and exhausted. After a double punch, both me climb to their feet, Gotomme suddenly fires a Kamehameha, but Kakarotto jumps over it and fires a huge blast above them, sending them crashing into the Underground Sector and causing the whole city to fall into the Sector as well. Once the dust clears Kakarotto lands on top of the rubble and turns to normal, but completely out of breath, �I� know you�re� still down there. But screw digging you out� I�ll� just take this guy as a� bargaining chip instead�� Kakarotto slowly walks towards the still unconscious and now more damaged body of Psalm. He picks him up and flies away. We see down in the rubble, Goten and Recomme are both unconscious and hurt. Up at the lookout Goku and Senko are looking down to the Earth, �Things have really gotten out of hand�� Goku says, Senko nods, �Yeah� I�ll go gather up some guys and get them out of there, then search for any survivors.� Goku nods and Senko flies down. Goku takes a big breath in with his eyes closed, �I�m sorry people of New Hanten��
