Michael Francis Foley was born June 7, 1965 in Long Island, New York.  After graduating from Ward Melville High School, he went to Stat University of New York.  Mick was a life long wrestling fan who even skipped school and hitch-hiked with his friend to Madison Square Garden to see his idol Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka.  After he saw Snuka battle with Don Muraco in a steel cage, Mick was encouraged to start a pro-wrestling career.
He was trained by Dominic DeNucci, a former WWF wrestler.  Mick met up with Dominic after he saw the tape of Foley jumping off his friends roof.  Dominic admired Mick's courage and agreed to teach him the basics of wrestling.  Mick drove 400 miles every week to attend Dominic's school.  Mick lived in his car for several months.

Mick wrestled in Japan and Africa for awhile in independent feds.  Then Mick went to WCW.  Mick was upset at WCW, so he went to ECW.  There he had a great stay, and won several titles.  Then Mick went to Stamford.  To the WWF/E.
Mick was contacted by the WWF and he agreed to work there.  Originally, Vince McMahon wanted Mick to be called, "Mason the Mutilator".  Mick did not like this so he suggested the name, Mankind.  Mr. McMahon liked it and the day after WRESTLEMANIA-XII, Mick made his WWF/E debut!

Mick was known as two other characters in the WWE other than Mankind.  Dude Love & Cactus Jack were introduced as other personalities of Mankind AKA Mick Foley.  After 3 title reigns, and historic matches, Mick Foley is officially retired.  Now, he enjoys spending time with his family, and frequently takes a visit "home" to the WWE.
I am not Mick Foley, anyone associated to the WWE or Mick Foley, and never claim to be.
